*The next day, when school ended*
Nishikata: Ok, now it's time for me to-
Sakurai: Hey Nishikata!!
Nishikata: oh, what's up?
Sakurai: I found this on your desk yesterday when I had to stay over for cleaning duty, is this yours? *shows jack in the box*
Nishikata: OH!!! Yes it is, I can't believe I forgot it!!!
Sakruai: What is this thing anyway? *about to open it*
Nishikata: NOOOO DON'T OPEN THAT *snatches it* ....sorry, it's just.... it was meant for a prank on someone...
Sakurai: Oh, I see. Anyway, we just got this new game called Ultra Extreme Soccer, you wanna come over later and play it with us?
Nishikata: Wait seriously??? That's the newest game that came out, of course I wanna- actually I can't, I don't have time, I have something really important to do and I'm in a huge hurry!!! *runs off*
Sakurai: Hey, wait!!!
*Halfway there*
Nishikata: *while running* I can't believe I just turned them down, reviews of that game are off the charts!!! Ugh, whatever, that's not important right now!! What really matters is me keeping my promise and... UGH, DARN IT!!! I forgot that new sports anime special I really wanted to watch comes on in about 45 minutes!!!! Uuuuggghhhhh..... the sacrifices I have to make today!! *Looks at his jack in the box* man, it's a good thing Sakurai grabbed this when he did, otherwise it probably would've been thrown out, and I worked pretty hard on this... I would HATE for it to go to waste... *still running*
*Eventually he makes it to the junction*
Nishikata: okay, I'm here.. now I just need to turn left.... oh wait... I forgot, I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE SHE LIVES!!!!! SHOOT!! I DIDN'T EVEN THINK THIS FAR AHEAD!!!! I mean, I know I've been to her house before, but I don't remember WHERE it is on this street!!! Wait!! I at least know she lives on this street, so I just need to look at the name plates in front of the houses until I find "Takagi" *starts running* ok, let's see... "Inaba", No!! "Yamamoto", No!!!!! "Takahashi", NO!!!!! "TAKAGI", THERE, I FOUND IT!!!!!
*Nishikata stands in front of Takagi's house*
Nishikata: There... I finally made it... now... I just need to knock on the door, speak to her parents, and hope they let me visit her.... oh man, I don't think I've ever met her parents before... this is gonna be weird... *knocks on the door.... and Takagi's mother answers*
Mrs. Takagi: Hello?
Nishikata: *Nervous* Oh hi *bows* It's a pleasure to meet you... Mrs. Takagi... I... I uh...
Mrs. Takagi: Wait.... are you... Nishikata..?
Nishikata: Oh... Takagi-San told you about me?
Mrs. Takagi: Oh yes, she told me LOTS about you, how she sits next to you in class, the kinds of stuff you and her did together, and she even told me that she can't help but tease you a bit when she sees you.
Nishikata: *thinks - yeah, "a bit" is an understatement* anyway, I've heard that she's been sick the past few days, so I thought I'd drop by and check up on her...... because.... *blushes* well.... you see...
*Nishikata explains everything*
Mrs. Takagi: Oh... well this is very sweet of you, I'm sure she'll be very happy to see you.
Come on in. She's in her room just laying down.
Nishikata: Oh okay, thank you very much.
Mrs. Takagi: Oh, it's no problem. :)
*Then Nishikata is standing in front of Takagi's door*
Nishikata: well..... *blush* here goes nothing... *Knocks on door*
