Bronwyn:
I was sat opposite Knox- who was positively vibrating- as he explained everything that had happened. He told us that Knox and his dad had gone to the hardware store after school. He has noticed that Me Mannings' shop wasn't noticed but hadn't thought it as strange. Then, he had gone to hang his coat in storage cupboard. And that's when he say Mr Mannings' body. When the police arrived they had found a letter on the flier addressed from Mr Mannings. "What did the letter say?" I had asked.
Knox had swallowed hard. "He was threatening to close us down...again."
"That gives you a motive." Nate had replied"Ok." Maeve said, clapping her hands together. "I have a proposal to make..."
"Shoot."
"What'd you say to reforming the murder club."
Nate- who was sat beside me- made a choking noise. "What?!" I spat. "Absolutely not!"
"Why?!" Maeve protested.
I tried to not look into her puppy eyes. "Last time the murder club existed, it almost destroyed me." I explained.
"Exactly!" Maeve exclaimed. "Then you know exactly how Knox feels."
I turned to face Nate, there was a determined glint that I only saw when he was about to do something reckless . "Fine." He says. "But this stays between us."
"Yeah." I agree. "No Addy or Cooper."
Maeve rushes towards me. "Thank you!" She exclaims.
