Some say they do exist and some say they do not.

If you are one of those who explain that you have experienced it, people will tell you its all in your mind.

Its all upto you whether you believe or not. Its all in your faith.

My experience was not something to be insane over. It was somehow unusually peaceful.

There was a satisfaction and feeling of love.

You may have read my article on Wattpad which was a tribute to my uncle. This experience is related to him.

It is believed that your loved one always stays with you. Whether alive or in spirits but they are always close to your heart.

That dreadful early morning that could never be forgotten, the eery silence that uttered the eternal truth

"Death is inevitable."

It was all a heavy feeling for a eight year old. Too intense too dark.

I remember the lonely tear that escaped my father's eye and they I wiped them.
The way me and my sister sat in the balcony and tried to hide our tears.

But all of these waere an entire different episode that I had already explained earlier.

That day, something else also took place.

Two crows came and sat on our balcony. They kept calling their "ka-kas"
My mother and I took some pieces of bread and gave those two crows to eat.

The next day around the same time, those two again came and shouted their ka-kas. This time my mother gave me some rotis to feed them. This happened regularly. They would come and let us know about their arrival. They would eat their food and then fly away.

They came for exact 12 days. But on the thirteenth day, there was no sign of them. I waited at the stairs of balcony for them to come and take their food. But they kept me waiting. It was like they disappeared.

The last time I saw them was on the twelfth day and after that I never heard their ka-kas.

You must be wondering, why was I describing about crows and them eating food.

The answer lies in our culture and beliefs. It is believed that crows are the symbol of departed. They represent the departed soul.

Your loved ones return back in the form of a crow and eat the food you lovingly gave.

In our culture, after a death, the family members will prepare a tray of food and then will leave this tray on the roof. If they find the tray has been cleaned off food, then it means that soul has eaten it. It is also believed that there will left imprint of a foot of any animal or human which will describe what the person will be in the next life.

I don't whether it was mine and my mother's believes, but it happemed with us.

My mother used to say look that must be your uncle and grandpa. My grandpa had passed long before my birth. I never saw him except in photographs.

Was it a coincidence that those two crows visited on the day of his death and they came until twelfth day and after that vanished. The same twelve days that in our culture is the period of funeral. We follow funeral rituals upto twelve days after death.

What was that happened with us? Was it only our belief or our mind? Or is there really a force beyond our understanding?

What was that experience I felt when it was suddenly cold and a breeze passed by just like someone moved?

After all these years, I am not scared of that incident but I am happy. I feel loved that he showed us in his own way how much he cared and loved us.

Growing up and starting on our lives, we still miss him. We wonder wherever he is, is he happy? Is he proud of us and our choices?

But there are some questions that cannot be answered. Its best not to interrupt those that are beyond our control. Sometimes its good to be unknown about certain things.

Have you experienced something like this? Then please share your experiences with me whether good or bad....
