Bernard POV
Bernard looked into Sloth's loving, caring eyes. Nothing could ruin this perfect moment between them. Bernard was sure of it. Bernard was ready to made his move. He opened his mouth but closed it again, looking sadly away from her. There's no way she'll want to be with me, to disappoint her entire people just to end up with someone like me. "Bernard, what's wrong?" She asked tentatively, "Umm, a, t-there's something I want to ask you." He stuttered out. "What is it?" Sloth asked sweetly, obviously trying to hide the worry in her voice, "You know you can ask me anything baby." Bernard sighed, but hesitantly opened his mouth only to be drowned out by the sound of the door slamming open. "SLOTH!!! WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU DOING!!!" Sloth turned around to see her father, Yeti. "I thought I told you to stay away from that bear!!!" He yelled sternly, his unibrow breaking all rules of biology and bending towards his non-existent nose. "But father it's true love!!!!" Pleaded Sloth. "The war between the yetis, sloths, skulls, and polar bears prohibits such tomfoolery!!!! Now get back here now and I just might let your "boyfriend" go alive, that is if the sloth brigade doesn't get here first." He sneered. But it was too late, the sloth soldiers were already leaping in from everywhere. Bernard made a desperate move to escape but was quickly surrounded and held at gunpoint by several of the sloth soldiers with more coming in by the second. The sloths held their position, ready to fire at the command of Yeti. Sloth pleaded with her father to let Bernard go as he raised his hand ready to give the signal to fire. After another sweep across the room with his panicked eyes Bernard knew what would happen and stared at Sloth, nodding at her to try and calm her down . All he wanted was a nice peaceful future with Sloth. Yes that's what he'd think about. Bernard imagined this was all a bad dream. He was waking up next to Sloth, still asleep. She looked as beautiful as ever with her messy bed hair. He could hear the kids in the distance playing in the living room. Harry came into the room wanting juice. He always wanted a son named Harry. And that was his last thought before he heard the gunshots. Sloth gasped and everything went to chaos.
