It was a beautiful sunny Sunday and i was out working in my family's wheat field getting my chores done so i won't have to do it tomorrow after school. I go to a school called Ridgeway High and i got five best friends who also go to the school. Their names are Chloe, Laura, Janice, Emily and Ellen and we've been friends for as long as i can remember.
Tomorrow is school and then after that week we are on our summer break. I can't wait.
I got cut out of my thoughts by my new Iphone ringing. I had gottin it for my birthday 2 weeks ago. I was now the same age of my friends all expect Laura she is still 17 at least until May. She's only a month younger than me.
I looked at my phone and a picture of one of my friends came bobbing up and down on the now brightly lit screen. I smiled as i saw that i to was in the photo. I was sitting beside her while we were at Chloe's sleepover. The girl had tan skin and black hair, with black glasses covering her dark brown eyes. I smiled at my best friend Janice and pressed the green button and held the phone up to my ear.
Janice: Soph you have to get to my house now!
I giggled at the excitment in her voice.
Me: Sure Jan, i'll come if you tell me what it's about?
I asked with wonder in my voice. I then heard her take a deep breath before continuing.
Janice: ...Me and...Shawn...
My eyes grew wide.
Me: I'm so on my way.
I heard her giggle before she said:
Janice: I texted the girls and they are coming too bye.
Before i could say anything back she hung up. I pushed my phone into my working trousers. I turned on my heel and ran to my house. Thankfully the wheat fields are just behind my house so i did'nt have to run alot.
Finally i arrived at the back door of my house. I ran past my parents which had confused looks on both their faces. I just ignored it and ran up the stairs and into my room.
I can to a halt as i nearly knocked into my bed. I turned and saw my window-seat filled with little light and dark blue cushions. I smiled as a memory came to me.
~Flashback~
Janice and Laura came to have a sleepover at my house. Laura looked like she was in a world of her own and she looked depressed.
Laura was sitting on the window-seat and looking out at the beautiful scenery outside. The window-seat is big enough to fit six people.
Me and Janice weng downstairs to the kitchen and grabbed snacks and drinks. When we came back we found Laura crying her eyes out. We set the snacks down on my desk and ran to Laura.
Janice: Laur what happend..
Laura: T-tommy.. b-broke.. up with... me
I stared at Janice horrified at what Laura just said.
Janice: Why did he break up with you?
Laura: B-because i wouldnt give it to him.
Janice stood up and her face went red with anger. Tommy had promised all of us girls that he would never break Laura's heart if she didnt want to give it to him. He promised that he would wait until she was ready.
Janice: Laura he's a prick don't mind him there are lots of fish in the sea.
Laura just smiled and nodded.
Me: Egh Jan i'm pretty sure Laura doesnt want to date a fish.
Laura and Janice giggled.
Janice: Come on Laur dont worry hes just another annoying boy who'se just looking for a little action.
Laura nodded her head before resting it in Janice's lap as i stood up and went to the DVD player.

After that night Laura was always smiling at everyone. She was happy and once Laura is happy she makes everyone happy too.
I smiled one more time remembering the memory and turned on my heel and walked into my walk-in-closet. I decided that i would wear a white dress which is dip-dyed pink at the bottom, a denim jacket, brown belt and my white pumps.
Once i was finished getting changed i grabbed my phone and purse and shoved them into my brown bag. I walked out of my room and was meeted by a grumpy looking older brother.
Me: Ugh, what do you want now Dylan?
Dylan is my annoying older brother. He too is 18 but will be turning 19 next month along with Laura.
Dylan: And where does my little sis think she is going.
Me: Your little sis is going to her friends house for awhile.
Dylan: And who will be there?
My eyes slowly widened and i couldnt help but smile.
Me: Emily.
