Chapter 16: Notebook

"And..that's what happened." Katsuki suspiciously eyed Y/n. "So she just checked herself into rehab, just like that?" Y/n nodded. " Mhm, pretty much. And she hired this caretaker for me." Katsuki took a sip of the milkshake they shared. " I guess that's a good thing. She needs help, and she's getting it. Is that care taker staying with you?" Y/n chewed up the last bite of her cookie and shook her head. " Nah, he's not. He said he's only gonna come three times a week with groceries, and if I wanted to hang out we could. He's chill."

"School is so boring. Thank god it's Friday." Denki yelled as wiped the sweat off his brows.
" If you did the work it wouldn't be as boring. You're just lazy." Jirou scolded. Y/n ignored the bickering and focused on her phone. A small smile crept onto her lips. " Who got you smiling like that?" Demi yelled, making the rest of the group turn their attention to her. " Uh, no one. I'm watching TikTok." Katsuki raised an eyebrow. " With no earphones and the sound off?" Y/n rolled her eyes. " Fine. I was texting Sero. I just wanted to make sure he got home safe. " Denki snatched her phone, and began going through it. " DENKI YOU MOTHERFUCKER!"

After a while of Y/n chasing Denki, she eventually got her phone back. "Oww, you didn't have to hit me so hard." Y/n rolled her eyes. "Next time, don't touch something that doesn't belong to you." Denki nodded, pouting. "I have to get home. I'll see you guys tomorrow." Y/n said to group. "Oh, okay. Bye, y/n." Jirou said with a small smile. It was still kinda awkward between them. "I'll see you later, n/n." Katsuki gave y/n a fist bump. "Bye, y/n!" Denki yelled, waving his hands around.

'Knock, knock'

Y/n sat up straight. "Who could be at the door?" Y/n stood up from the couch and walked over to the door. "Who is it?" She opened the door to reveal Sero. "Sero? What's going on?" Sero nervously smiled.

"You left your notebook at school so I just wanted to bring it to you." Y/n smiled sheepishly. "You brought this all the way here? You live on a completely different side of town?" Sero rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah, well we have a test coming up so you really need this book to study." He held out the notebook. "Thank you so much." Y/n looked behind her at the empty house. "Wanna come inside and help me study?" Sero looked at the ground. "I don't wanna intrude—" Y/n grabbed his hands. "Nonsense! Come on in!"

"Want something to drink?" Y/n offered. "Uh, no I'm okay. Thank you though." Y/n nodded and sat at her desk. "Your room is so cool." Sero took a quick look around. "Thank you!" He nodded and pulled out his study guide. "Aizawa sensei told us that the test would be on these topics. If we focus on this we should ace this test!" Sero smiled as he pointed at the different subjects. Y/n gave him a wide smile. Seeing him so psyched up made her happy. "Okay! Let's study."

"Ugh, I can't. I feel like my brain is frying." Sero groaned, his head laid on Y/n's desk. "That lasted about five minutes.. we're gonna fail." Y/n deadpanned. Sero cleared his throat and sat up straight. "Can I be honest?" Y/n titled her head, confused. "Uh, sure. What's up?" Sero smiled nervously, swallowing the lump in his throat. "I didn't come here just to give you your notebook. That was a excuse." Y/n's eyes widened slightly. "Then why.." Sero smiled softly. "I just wanted to see you. Your so cool, Y/n. Your super pretty, you like the same bands as me, your funny, you smoke. I mean the list goes on and on. I feel so happy around you." Y/n's has slacked as a blush ran across her brown skin.

"Sero.."

"I couldn't wait till tomorrow to see your face so I asked Bakugou where you lived, which now that I think about it is very creepy. But anyway! I just.. I like you! And you don't have to like me back, I wouldn't be mad. And now I'm rambling and, "

Y/n softly grabbed his face and pressed her lips against his. Fireworks went off I'm their heads. "Woah." Sero breathed out. "You wouldn't stop talking." Sero touched his lips softly. "Sorry." He chucked. "I like you too." Sero grinned. "Yes!"
