"A long, long time ago, in a village lost to time. There lived a crimson oni and a blue oni. They were the best of friends. The crimson oni looked fierce, but was gentle like the humans. The blue oni looked human, but was reclusive like an oni. The crimson oni wished to befriend the humans, but they were scared. And threw beans at him whenever he came near. So the blue oni said to the crimson oni: "Aka, I'll cause trouble in the village, you come and stop me." "Then the humans will accept you." As planned, the crimson oni chased the blue oni away. The crimson oni's deeds spread throughout the land. And people finally accepted him. But when the crimson oni went to tell the blue oni the good news. He was gone, and left only a letter behind: "I went traveling. Don't come find me, or they'll treat you as a naughty little oni." "But don't worry about me. No matter where I go..." One bright and sunny morning, a quiet girl named Y/N Fuyumi woke up to the beautiful bright sun rays of light. Most often they reminded her of the warmth that her mother gave off. And how her smile shone brightly. But that was in the past, as you can probably tell her mother had died. Due to a sickness that wasn't curable; And that no one knew about. She had been quite sick before her death. But of course not to frighten the frail and rather light skinned Y/N. Both the doctors and her father F/N had kept her mothers health condition a secret to the poor little girl.
She then silently crept out of bed and got up to get ready for the day. Y/N was known for her side of courage and bravery; At least that's what her parents said to her. But she was more of an introvert herself; Just like the blue oni. The blue oni had some similar things that Y/N had to her; Not physically but mentally. No she wasn't the person who would steal things just for her people to survive; I mean yes she would. But that's besides the point. She was a person who would stick to her word, and always make a promise happen. Even if it meant to sacrifice things she held dearest to her. Just like the crimson oni.... But besides all of that she was really just a plain old simple girl in the yashiro commission.
After doing her casual morning routine. Y/N decided to go on a walk; since today was a nice day, around Chinju forest. She grabbed her house keys and practically flew out the door. Longing and hoping to see her best friend, "the one and oni" Arataki Itto; as he likes to call himself but I guess Y/N just stuck with it. Since it did fit him well enough.
Y/N POV
I was walking alone, quietly down a path praying in my mind to see him again. After so many year's he's been gone I just wanna hug him again. I chuckle replying to my own thought,
"Wow I'm really quite desperate to see itto again." Then again I do have a tiny crush on him. I mean what am I kidding he is quite handsome himself.
"Ugh Y/N get that out of your head he's just your friend," I silently mumble to myself. I continue to walk around the forest, looking at all the gorgeous purple Sakura blossoms. Then I hear commotion echoing from behind me.
"Who's there!?," I squeak in a hushed tone.
"Wow you really don't remember the one and oni Arataki Itto?," a slight monotone voice replies.
Itto's POV
Wow she really doesn't remember me? I mean I guess I have been away for a long time but still, not for that long.
Y/N POV
I turn my head rapidly after hearing that name.
"Itto!" "It's really you!," in response I run up to him and hug him, probably squeezing him to death but who cares! I mean if you haven't see someone you cared about, or maybe even loved in a while. You would react the same way I did.
