Mirabel's head tilted a bit as she turned towards the wall. Tia Pepa and Dolores weren't the only ones laughing. There was someone else laughing, from inside the wall.
"Hey Casita, can you get the person in the wall out here please?" Mirabel asked and the family was dead silent as the wall suddenly moved to show a scruffy dirty and pale man sitting at a small old table who was now staring at them wide eyed.
"So why is there a guy living in the wall?" Mirabel asked and she had her eyes glowing again as she clutched a knife.
"Is...Is that..." Luisa looked stunned as she gaped at the man, as did Isabela. Mama was slowly standing with her hands over her mouth while the man stood up awkwardly with a wave towards them. Abuela collapsed into her chair gaping at the man and it looked like there were tears in her eyes. Antonio and Camilo looked confused while Dolores just looked a bit guilty.
Tia Pepa had already handed Antonio to Tio Felix and was now crushing the man in a hug that had the poor guy lifted a solid foot off of the ground.
"Tio Felix while I don't want to know what you do with my Tia in the bedroom or any other room in the house having your other partner-" Mirabel gave absolutely zero fucks however as she arched an eyebrow at her uncle who blanched and shook his head wildly.
"Oh Dios Mios no! That's...that's nothing close to what's happening here. That's your Tio Bruno!" Tio Felix said just as Mama seemed to get the nerve to rush forward and wrap both of her siblings in a hug.
"Bruno...Brunito...you've been here this whole time?" Mama asked softly as she hugged her siblings tightly and Mirabel was pretty sure that Tia Pepa's rain cloud wasn't out of sadness this time.
"Well yeah...I mean...even though I had to hide to protect my sobrina from mama I still love the family you know? So I couldn't...couldn't just leave. Casita let me stay inbetween the walls and I've been patching up the cracks as much as I can and even if I wasn't able to hug you two at least I could be there to watch the kiddies grow up..." Bruno said awkwardly as he hugged his sisters back, none of the three minding the rain at all now.
"Oh you're skin and bones Brunito. Come come eat breakfast." Tia Pepa said as she started to drag him to the table, Casita setting up another chair and plate for him immediately.
"Ah sorry. I've had to be careful when sneaking out to get some of Juli's Arepas." Bruno said as if embarrassed at how hard of a time he had sneaking food.
"You're the one whose been taking the leftovers! I've been the one taking the blame for that motherfucker!" Camilo said looking annoyed but honestly just rolling with it. Bruno looked his sobrino right in the eyes.
"Kid I screwed a lot of women when I was younger, but I have never and will never fuck your mother. That's Felix's job, and since they have three kids he must be good at it." Bruno said completely straightfaced and Dolores snorted loudly at the look on her brothers face while Papa blushed brightly.
"I'm probably one of the few people in the village who never did." Bruno said casually and Pepa smacked him for that even as she loaded up his plate with food, Mirabel snickered a bit. She liked her Tio.
"You know those rumors about me were fake you ass!" Pepa said giving her brother an annoyed look but she was still smiling slightly and had a small rainbow over her head. Her brother was back!
"Yeah I know. Juli was the whore of us three." Bruno said and immediately had an arepa shoved into his mouth by said sister.
"You know damn good and well that wasn't true. If anyone of us three was the whore it was you hermanito." Julieta said and Bruno gave her a small grin as he happily ate the arepa, his two sisters sitting on either side of him since Dolores was kind enough to move over to Julieta's seat and let her tia have her spot.
