Sprite's pov:

Sersi and I led Ikaris and Laura to our apartment we live in.

I can't understand but I kind of felt awkward when I'm close to Laura. Could be that she saved my life in a weird way or that I just think I look like a complete loser beside her.
To be honest it feels like both.

Either way we finally made it to our apartment. Sersi mostly owns the stuff here, antiques, other historical artifacts she kept while some of my stuff are next to the rest of hers. So the living room looks more like a mess.

Sersi and Ikaris are talking in the kitchen while I'm at the living room opening a drawer to grab a knife I hid inside. Since I almost got became dinner to a Deviant, I thought it's best I carry a self defense weapon.

My illusions are somehow pointless now and I luckily kept a weapon just in case. I took it out from its case to see if it still usable. So far so good.

"Careful with that thing," I turned to Laura as she spoke from the other side of the room. "Wouldn't want any backstabbing now would we?" She said it in a joking tone.

I put the knife away and changed the subject, "so you're sent here because of the earthquakes?"

Laura swiftly walked up to me with her hands in her back. She bit her lip before saying, "close, back at Kamar-Taj me and my friend, Wong, have seen strange energy occurring in the earth's core."

"Kamar-Taj? You're a sorceress then?"

She nodded as a yes, "wow, how stupid am I to almost forget the great Masters of Mystic Arts." Interesting for her to be a sorceress at such an age, "Never thought they'll teach younger students."

She came up to my side to see what's in the table. Since she stood to my left I can see her right burn scars, they seem almost like a birthmark from afar but up close you can really see them as scars. I then noticed her right hand is burned as well, could her whole right side be scarred?

I tried not to be nosy from the thoughts of her scars but instead wondered about something else. "How come Doctor Strange isn't here to help?"

"He's currently not available at the moment, so I took his place." After she said that I heard her mutter herself about an issue of too many sorcerers or something, I couldn't hear her well. I didn't question it.

She cleared her throat and turned to me again, "so, the great heroic Eternals, right?" I nodded in response. "Let me make myself clear, you guys are the ones you protected this world from half of apex predators, which supposedly are 'Deviants', and doing so each Eternal has their unique power to defeat them?"

I couldn't process of how the fuck she knew all that but nodded a yes to her. "Okay and there's ten of you; five fighters and five thinkers," I raised a brow facing my body to face her. "Thinkers and fighters?"

"Yeah, five fighters; Makkari, Thena, Gilgamesh, Kingo, and lastly Ikaris." Sounded a bit unamused when she said his name. Well doesn't even seem she had gotten along with him at all. She continued, "then there's the five thinkers; Druig, Phastos, Ajak, Sersi, and Tinkerbell."

I felt my face scrunch up confused by the nickname, "wait, wha-?"

"So you and Phastos are the ones who made or helped create advanced technology of our today's civilization, correct?" She interrupted me. "I- well yeah,- hold on what's with that nickname and how do you know all that?"
