Prolouge

19-year-old Serendipity rocks slowly in the corner, her white polka dot gown slightly wrinkling with every movement. Serendipity came here when she was 7, young and full of hate, she was dragged into the building screaming and crying. She'll never forget the emotionless expression on her mother's face, she knew nothing was wrong with her... she was just a kid after all.

When Serendipity was 5-years-old, she was diagnosed with Intermittent explosive disorder, which was random acts of violence that often lead to rage. Throughout the years, teachers and doctors have noted her violent behavior as just a faze. But they weren't, Serendipity thought it was normal to hit her teachers, and bite other children. She thought she was normal. But everyone was afraid of her, and what might happen to them.

After she rampaged around the room throwing paint in 1st grade, a teacher contacted her mother. Now, this was no ordinary mother... Serendipity's mother was a drunk addict, was never home, and never cared about her. So the school ended up paying for all the doctor appointments, because they just couldn't handle the child. And after her 7th birthday, they diagnosed Serendipity with Intermittent explosive disorder.

About 3 days after being diagnosed, she had an episode and police cars along with her drug addict mother came to the scene. Serendipity heard every heartbreaking word come from her mother's mouth about sending her away, and that she never even wanted her.

And sitting in that corner for 12 years of her life hasn't stopped the madness, and the anger built up inside her. She has fought almost every single patient in the hospital, and has never lost a fight.

Nurses come and go into her room, she barely eats anything because she doesn't feel the hunger, she thinks she's controlling her anger... but she's not fixing anything.

But when Serendipity falls asleep... she lives a completely different life on the planet of Osyndus, where she belongs. But little did she know... was that she wasn't alone... and that will change her life.

Ostin has been in the hands of the hospital for 6 years. When he was 15, he fell off of his roof while putting up lights for the holidays. Landing on his upper back, slamming his head into the driveway, he instantly sent himself into a coma, and has not woken since.

His father was suspected of pushing him off the roof. He pleaded guilty in
and is now serving a life sentence in jail. No one knows his motive for killing his son. His mother died of grief three months after the incident. If Ostin wakes up from his coma, he will have no family to go back to.

Laying in his hospital bed, he is unaware of the real world around him, but in his sleep he dreams day and night of a special place. In his dreams he is on the planet Osynudus, a mystical planet you can only visit in your sleep.
