What do I do now....? Loki left after our last little heated conversation. The grassy field turned out to be some trick of the mind. It didn't actually exist, it was just some hologram Loki set up. (A/N: Brittany stop fangirling and keep reading!) It was actually some random corridor. I pull against the ropes one more time with the same result: glowing, heated ropes, and lots and lots of pain. I yell out in agony and rest my head against my chest. This has been quite a day.... I didn't even get to have a proper talk with my dad, I almost died.... Twice! And I was kidnapped by a god, a legend! This shouldn't have been possible, yet here I am. (A/N: Sorry, I'm rambling. I'll try to make some actual progress in the story.)

What am I going to do? I just have time to finish my thought when I hear the door creak open. Breathing heavy from the pain, I look up to see Loki walk in again. My heart picks up it's pace as I feel nervousness set in, tightening my chest. Loki must've sensed this because he smiles with an almost triumphant gleam in his eyes. I look at him and we make eye contact. I follow him with my eyes as he drags a chair out of the shadows and pulls it up in front of me. Still holding eye contact, he sits down and leans back with his legs crossed.

I hold his gaze until he finally says, "So, are you going to help me?" He flashes a starch white smile at me.

I narrow my eyes at him. "Why should I?" I snap at him. He kidnapped and pretty much tortured me. I'm not about to help him. Although I'm sure he has leverage of some kind.

"Oh I think this'll convince you." He smiles and the door opens. Two men walk in, one carrying a laptop. This can't be good. They walk over to me and set the laptop on my lap. I give him a look that says 'If this is what I think it is....' then look down at the screen. Just as I thought, it shows my dad talking to Director Fury at Stark tower, in full color screen; but no audio. He looks frantic, almost scared. Just as Fury is about to say something, Tony walks into view. I assume he said some smart-ass remark because as soon as he finishes, my dad turns around and is as close to yelling as I've seen him. Tony hold's up his hands as surrender and says something else. This earns him a shove in the chest from my dad and a scolding from Director Fury. Tony rolls his eyes and walks out. Dad turns back to Fury and starts talking. I close my eyes tight and feel the laptop get lifted away.

Still with my head down and my eyes closed, I nod. "Alright, I'll help you," I mutter barely loud enough for Loki to hear me.

"Good, I thought you'd be compliant." I can hear the triumph in his voice. "But remember this, if you become belligerent or a little too curious, I won't hesitate to kill everyone you care about. Which isn't a hard job because there isn't many people." This time his voice is threaded with a calm yet harsh warning I hear his boot hit the ground as he stands up. I lift my eyes and watch as he walks over to the door to talk to the guards standing outside. God, could someone so tall be so lanky? He's as thin as a twig, yet the top of my head would probably only reach the shoulder of his six foot stature. I wonder what this plan of his is. And why does his name sound so familiar? He said he was a man "out of your legends," what did he mean "out of legends?" Just then it clicks: Loki, the Norse god. Could he actually be....? No, that was impossible right? Then again it would explain the ropes, him being in my head, and him seemingly being able to do magical stuff.

I look back up as I hear the rustle of plastic and cloth. Loki turns back around holding a that seems to be my size. I give him a sharp and questioning look.

"You may be only 14 Miss Rogers, but you could pass as much older; you certainly act so. Care to accompany me to a party?"

     "I don't really have a choice, do I?"
