Chapter 7

Nobody's pov

"What? was the joke that bad?" Negan asks as he looks around at everyone.

Everyone was crying, not making eye contact with Negan. Too afraid they would give him the wrong look and maybe they would be next.

"I'm gonna kill you." Rick whispers and looks up at Negan.

"What?" Negan asks and kneels down in front of Rick. "I didn't quite catch that, you're going to have to speak up." He says.

Rick looks down for a second before looking back at Negan, "Not today, not tomorrow, but I'm gonna kill you." Rick says.

"Jesus. Simon, what do you have? A knife?" Negan asks, still looking at Rick, knelt in front of him.

"Uhm, I have a hatchet." Simon says. He was standing behind Rick, so Negan looked at him with a smug smile.

"A hatchet?" Negan asks.

"And an axe." Simon says, with the same smug smile as Negan.

"Simon is my right-hand man. One of those is important, cause what do you have without them? A whole lot of work." Negan says, still knelt in front of Rick, the same annoying smile on his face. "You have one? One of these fine people here, still breathing." Negan asks.

Rick looks away from Negan and swallows a lump in his throat.

"Oh, or did I," Negan waves his bat, Lucille in front of Rick. They both look at the remains of Abaraham for a split second before looking back at each other. "Sure, yeah. Give me his axe." Negan demands, still looking at Rick.

Simon picks up the axe from the ground and hands it to Negan. Rick and Negan look at each other for a couple more seconds before Negan stands up.

"The mom." He says and walks a couple steps away from Rick. He looks over at Maggie and smirks.

"No, no please." Maggie begs as the saviors pick her up by her armpits. They pull her to the middle and Negan swirls the axe around in his hand. Negan was almost ready to swing the axe at Maggie's arm until Charlie stands and runs up to Negan.

"Charlie, don't!" Alicia yells and tries to stand up, again, but she got pulled back down, again.

She ignores Alicia and punches him in the face, which made him stumble backwards. Charlie held her hand and cried out in pain, now not only her stomach was hurting, but her hand too.

"Wow kid. You have one hell of a punch." Negan says and rubs his jaw. "But I don't appreciate you breaking my damn rules." He says and knees Charlie in the stomach. She screams and falls to the ground. Her stomach ache now even worst. This time Daryl ran up to Negan. But Daryl was tackled by 2 of the saviors.

Daryl and Maggie both got dragged back to their spot, but Charlie was still on the ground.

"Guys, didn't I make it clear? I made one exception. and I said, if someone pulls this shit again someones getting punished, no exceptions." Negan says, he kicks Charlie in the stomach again, but Charlie doesn't scream this time, she just whimpers softly, almost knocked out. "And I don't know what kind of lying assholes you have dealt with, but I'm a man of my word. First impressions are important. I need you to know me. So, back to it." Negan says. He grabs Charlie by her shirt and drops Lucille on the ground.

Negan hits her in the face repeatedly, then her stomach and then he drops her back on the ground.

"Is she alive?" Maggie asks, very quietly.

"What?" Negan asks with his hand around his ear.

"Is she alive?" Maggie asks again, a little louder.

"Let's check, shall we?" Negan says and rolls Charlie on her back. He checks for her pulse and looks over at Maggie. "Her heart is still beating, I don't know how alive she is. But for now, her heart is still beating." He says.

Maggie looks down and lets out a sigh of relief. She really can't handle loosing any more people tonight, let alone Charlie.

"I'm gonna have a talk with Rick. Make sure you guys get the little girl in line again." Negan says and pulls Rick with him to the RV.

Simon and another savior pull Charlie back to her place in the line. Maggie immediately rolls Charlie on her back and softly caresses her cheek while calling her name, hoping she would wake up.

~3 hours later~

"There he is." Negan says and pulls Rick with him, out of the RV. In the same spot Charlie was in a couple hours ago. "She's still not awake? Wow, I am strong." He chuckles and walks over to Charlie. "Shit, I fucked her up pretty good." He says, still chuckling. It was true, Charlie had blood, bruises and scratches all over her face and body. "I hope you have a good doctor." He says and looks around.

Alicia looked over at Charlie and Maggie. She saw that Maggie was crying and looking down at Charlie's body. Charlie was still breathing, you could see that, but her body looked lifeless.

"Okay, this was your lesson. Everything is forgiven, but not forgotten." Negan says and looks around at everyone, including the saviors. "You can keep your RV and your lives, most of them." He says while looking down at Charlie and Abraham.

Negan whistles which makes all the saviors pack up and leave.

Everyone was in shock, not moving, only Alicia and Elyza immediately moved. They ran towards Charlie and Maggie.

"Charlie, baby wake up." Alicia says and shakes Charlie's body. "Come on, wake up." She says again as she started crying.

"We need to get her to hilltop." Maggie says and lifts Charlie up. "Come on, get up." She says coldly and walks inside the van with Anna.

Everyone slowly got up and walked to the van. They all got in and Rick started the RV.

"Charlie, I really need you to wake up." Alicia says as Elyza wipes her tears away for her.
