11.The Flashback🥀

MEHURL POV
I was going to my university when mama stopped me
I was already late because of samiya
'G mama jaldi bolein' I asked her opening my laces to squeeze my feet inside
'We will go to shopping so either you don't go to the university today or come with us' she said not giving me an option
I had a very important class today
'Okay I will come with you guys' I told her and ran out

It was almost 3 when I was returning and mama had called my 12 times to ask me where I was
I reached home and all the ladies were waiting outside
They quickly settled in the car
'Pani pi kar aati hoon wait a second' I told them getting down
Today was a very exhausting day and I was tired
I went inside and gulped a whole bottle of water
'Woah woah calm down' I heard zayan
'Abey yaar shaadi nhi England ki queen aa rhi ha ke ye log itni tayyari kar rhe hain abhi tou do weddings se faarig hue hain' I told him
'Nhi na is ghar ke barre bachon ki shaadi ha isliye they are excited' zayan told me and I looked at him confused

'Yaar matlab sameer is the oldest kid in the house and you are the oldest girl in the house' he says and it got me thinking
It was true
I was very loved as I was the only girl after seven boys and I am still very loved by all the family
I sighed

I ran outside to see manal sitting in the driving seat trying to start the car
God this girl
She will destroy my car one day
I went to the drivers seat
I glared at her
'Woh mai tou khali dkeh rhi thi ke petrol ha ke nhi..w-woh band na hojae na raste mai' she smiled nervously scratching the back of her head
I shook my head disbelievingly
'Chalo utro' I told her and she got down quickly
Shahnoor and manal both were sitting in the passenger seat

Mama sumaiyya saman and minahil chachi were at the back
Zoya was at her friends house and we were going to pick samiya from her school

I started the car and drove towards the market

SAMEER POV
I know mehrul wasn't happy with the marriage but I somehow had to tie us down
I was asking her for constant forgiveness but she was ignoring
I know I did wrong but still she has punished me for 3 years already

Flashback
'Assalamulaikum' I said entering the house and was soon engulfed in a hug by shahnoor
'Bhai you are here finally' she mumbled in my chest
I kissed her head
Everybody came and hugged me
Greeted me
Congratulated me
Gave me blessing
But she didn't come
The one who I was expecting would come run wasn't even present
Maybe she had gone somewhere because I did surprise them

I sat and ate
Laughed with everybody
Still she didn't came
I was looking around
'She's in her room and she won't come out until dinner ' saad whispered in my ear
And I looked at him shocked
He gave a sad smile
I adverted my gaze
Mehrul is jaan-e-mumtaz
And the light of this house

I was sitting in the room with saad zayan and hamad
'Itna sannata(silence) kun ha' I asked trying to break the awkward silence
Hamad took a deep breath
'Jab is ghar ki ronaq hi nhi rhi tou sannata tou hoga' hamad said sadly
I looked at him confused
'Mehrul ki baat kar rha ha' zayan said
'Kia hua mehrul ko' I asked
'Hume pata hota tou hum idhar hote' hamad said
'Yaar mehrul jab waapis aai tou isne sab adults ko bola use darr lag rha tha akele shahr mai tou waapis agai magr usne mujhe mahd hamad or zayan ko sab bata dia ha' saad said

'Han aur waapis aane ke baad na pehle ki tarha baat karti ha na hasti ha na roti ha na khati ha bilkul alag kardia ha apne aapko sabse isne' zayan sighed
'Ye sab teri waja se hua Ha' hamad whisper-yelled Glaring at me
'Hamad we talked about this' saad said and I saw hamad clenching his fist
'Agar tujhe nahi manzoor tha tou hume bolta na hum sab mil kar sambhalte us bichari ka Kia kasoor tha apni dadi ki khushi ke liye usne haan ki thi warna use bhi koi shauk nhi tha tujhse nikkah karne ka' hamad said and his eyes started getting moist
