And I stood Infront of the gates of hell, smiling lightheartedly.
Asking it's Gatekeeper.
"What's with the frown Maalik? Why am I here?
I've memorized all the answers to the trial of the grave. And I smiled, faintly throughout this life of mine, I had some patience, I forwarded all those messages and emails and I, every now and then prayed at dawn.
So why am I here?
And to which gate shall you lead me?"
He didn't answer. Still wearing the same frown..he opened the first gate..
Only to show a cat, just to get a surprised reaction outta me.
Then I remembered. My head could not help but bow in shame
" I didn't feed you when I saw you, but I was in hurry!"
Just as I looked beyond her my eyes widened with shock,
There they were,
Hordes of memories waiting for their right.
So I looked back at Maalik and asked nervously, fear slowly rising In me
"Isn't this a dream?"
...
A deafening silence
My heart turned into a running prey My smile disappeared
"Answer me!!"
I got on my knees, tears running down my eyes..in a faint voice, suffocated by sorrow
"What's with you Maalik? Isn't this a dream? Please tell me this is a dream!"
And he opened the next gate...
