Chapter 7, "Friends can kiss once in a while."

Lyric was sitting on the couch, doing her college classes on her computer. Claudia came down the stairs with her bag and slung the strap over her shoulder, Anastasia following behind her with a sad puppy like expression. Lyric was too focused and determined to even hear the talking or the footsteps. "Do you really have to leave so soon??" Anastasia asked softly with a begging look spread across her face, Claudia set her bag down by the door, not responding but turning to face Anastasia with open arms. Anastasia frowned and fell into her arms, hugging her tightly, Claudia smiling and hugging her. "I'm sorry Ana, I would stay longer if I could" Claudia apologized and pressed a soft kiss into her hair, "I know" She whispered, "I'm just going to miss you is all" She murmured with a dreadful groan following her sentence, Claudia rubbing her back in an attempt to comfort her "I'll miss you too Ana, hopefully I can come back and visit again sometime soon" Claudia stated and Lyric snapped out of it just in time to hear the exchange of 'I'll miss you' She looked up from her computer and saw the interaction and the packed bag, putting it together "You're leaving?" Lyric asked as she set her computer aside and then stood, walking to them. Claudia looked at her as she leaned back from Anastasia's hug. "You seem disappointed?" Claudia asked teasingly and smiled victoriously. Lyric raised an eyebrow at her, chuckling. "I am, at least a little bit. I'll miss you. As a friend, of course" Lyric admitted and crossed her arms over her chest, Claudia gasping and setting a hand over her heart "Ouch! Friend zoned" Claudia said playfully, making Lyric laugh. "We can't be much else when you're going to be thousands of miles away" Lyric murmured, stifling a smile and Claudia sighing out an exhale "Mm, very true." Claudia uttered sadly as she took a step closer to Lyric and hugged her, Lyric smiling softly and wrapping her arms around Claudia's lower back. "Also yes, you should come back to visit...you're always welcome here." Lyric added in as they stayed completely still, hugging. Anastasia smiled at the two, crossing her arms as she waited. Claudia nodding in response and leaning back, "Well, I should probably get going if I want to make my flight" Claudia stated with a sigh, giving Anastasia another quick hug before turning back to lyric and kissing her cheek, Lyric flashed a smile at Claudia while she leaned back. "Call me" Claudia murmured and Lyric grinned, nodding in response.
Claudia nodded back and grabbed her bag, once again sliding the strap over her shoulder. She gave a smile to each of them before nodding a goodbye "Goodbye Guys" Claudia stated. "Goodbye Claudia" Anastasia replied softly, sniffling to hold in her tears..Lyric smiling once again. "Yeah..Goodbye" Lyric replied quietly, Claudia smiling and letting out a soft sigh as she turned towards the door, opening it. Claudia walked out and shut the door behind her, making her way down the sidewalk towards her taxi. Anastasia frowned and looked over at Lyric who just sighed, scratching her neck. "So, you and my sister hit it off?" Anastasia teased her which made Lyric laugh, nodding in agreement briefly "If you call multiple rounds of sex a day 'hitting it off'" Lyric used finger quotes "Then yes, yes we did, very well might i add" She agreed playfully which made Anastasia cringe, remembering the image that would be forever plastered into her mind "Gross." Anastasia murmured and it went quiet..Lyric sighing after a moment before speaking "I'm sorry for sleeping with your sister." Lyric uttered, rubbing the back of her neck. "Its just been so long since I've connected with someone in that kind of way besides Troy, and I didn't realize she would be so.." Her words trailed off, trying to think of the correct word.
"Your type?" Anastasia questioned with a chuckle, Lyric laughing and throwing her hands up in the air. "Yeah, that works...But I truly am sorry..it wasn't very best friend like of me" She said softly, Anastasia shaking her head and waving her off. "It's fine lyric, it's just sex. It's not like you're marrying her" Anastasia waved it off and Lyric nodded in agreement "I guess so."
