Ch. 6

~Ch. 6~
(Elaine's POV)
Rabbit hands me the last of Lily's stuff and says, "Alright there we go."

I take her backpack and sigh, "Alright I'll drop Lily at your mom's trailer tomorrow morning."

Rabbit nods, "K."

Lily and Sarah we're already in the back playing tag.

Rabbit looks past my shoulder and says, "Bye baby!"

Lily waves at him and goes back to playing tag. Rabbit groans holding his stomach.

I raise an eyebrow at him, "Man, you okay?"

"I'm fine just skipped breakfast."

"Wait here."

I go back to the fridge pulling out a fresh pre made ham and cheese sandwich. I grabbed some milk that come in those little boxes like juice boxes. Going back to the door I handed Rabbit his breakfast.

I add, "You'll need it I promise. No take backs.

He nods, "Thanks, Elaine."

I bid him a 'see ya' with our handshake and Rabbit went back to his car, hopping in the driver seat and driving out of my driveway.

~Late at night at Elaine's House~
(Rabbit's POV)
"So," I took a sip of my beer, saying, "I was at work on time but I still didn't finish the sandwich you gave me."

Elaine nods as I continue my story. I chuckle, "So the entire time I was stuffing a sandwich in my face and I was talking to Manny like I had a speech impediment, man."

She chuckles, "Did you get in trouble?"

"Nah, just had to make sure he couldn't see me that I was eating during work."

She laughs. I sigh. I was just hanging at Elaine's place to check on Lily after work. Right now Sarah and her were in the back coloring in coloring books while Elaine and I just caught up on what's happened lately.

"Hey guess who showed up at work today?" I sigh.

"Who?"

"Janeane."

Elaine grunts, "Why?"

"Wanted the reason for our break up."

"Man it was her fault for saying she was pregnant and all that shit."

I sigh, sipping more beer, "Yeah..."

I looked at the time and it was already 11. I needed to get home. I sat up saying, "I gotta go. Lily!"

My little sister ran over hugging me and saying, "Night Jimmy!"

I smile kissing her forehead saying, "Sweet dreams baby."

Lily runs back into her room with Sarah as I head out the door, a little bit of intoxication kicking in. At the front door I bid Elaine our normal handshake and head out.

"Careful when you're driving bro." I hear her say.

I nod back and hop in the driver seat. She's really considerate, making sure I get home safely even when a little drunk.
~Next Day after work~
(Elaine's POV)
We were all in Rabbit's car just riding around one day and we were just talking about my crappy day at work.

"So you're boss tried to rape you?" Iz asks me.

I say, while huffing some blunt, "Yeah gave him my 2 weeks notice and got my ass out there quick as possible."

Cheddar says, "You kicked his ass didn't you, Elaine?"

"Of course I fucking did. It was rape, man."
