Wow, you're serious?
That's a pretty pathetic argument, but I enjoy mocking you, so let's do this.
First off, your beloved Bayonetta just had its latest, long-anticipated sequel Bayonetta 3 announced late last year, scheduled for release later this year. In the interim, we've seen some fairly notable sexualized women drive video games to massive success.
Most recently is Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil 8, the poster character of the game who more or less had the internet frothing at the mouth from the moment she was revealed. It's no understatement to say she's synonymous with RE8: it's next to impossible to find an article about Village that doesn't feature her personage, and even Capcom issued a statement expressing surprise at how much international appeal the character has -- especially since she's not even a significant portion of the game. The buzz around Lady D led to RE8 being the fastest-selling Resident Evil entry since 2009.
Next we can go with 2B from Nier Automata, a lightly-dressed and well-endowed robot who, again, immediately riled up interest in her game. Automata is a sequel to the original Nier, a relatively unsuccessful game that sold an estimated 500,000 copies worldwide. The 2B-led Automata is estimated to have sold 6 million as of last summer. I'll skip over the part where I emphasize her cultural significance since I sincerely doubt you haven't seen the character around. More recently, Nier Automata had a series of crossover raids with hit MMO Final Fantasy XIV. One of the glamour items associated with the raid, a thong that serves the primary purpose of making female characters' butts look bigger, has dominated the fashion meta and is the most popular leg option on XIV's glamour site by nearly twice as much as the runner-up.. As of today, Nier Automata's also had an anime adaptation announced. Feel free to check out the comments if you want to get an idea of what people think of when they hear "Nier Automata."
As far as what's next in video game protagonists who are too sexualized for your delicate eyes, I'd probably keep an eye out for Project EVE, in addition to Bayo 3.
And of course, let's not forget that the gacha market has exploded, an entire new genre that's based on milking thirsty gamers of their (presumably) hard-earned coin so that they can unlock more anime waifus. Genshin Impact reigns at the top of them as one of the most profitable video games on the market right now, but they're practically a dime a dozen and most are pretty on the nose about the reason why you're playing -- hell, even a game like Fire Emblem Heroes releases annual swimsuit versions of its popular characters (which, anecdotally, is the only time I ever hear about the game anymore). Where Genshin falls on the sexualization line, I can't comment, not my cup of tea. What I can tell you is that its characters have had a chokehold on the rule34 side of the Internet since it was localized, which should give you a grounded understanding on what a significant portion of its playerbase is there for.
And all that's without including the many lesser mobile games and eastern RPGs that portray women in sexualized manners that are honestly way, way less tasteful than Bayonetta. I have my suspicions the context of this post is based on Lost Ark, the Korean MMO that was only recently localized in the West.
So yeah, bud, sex sells. Sorry to say but Dead or Alive -- which no fighting game fan would put in the same conversation as Mortal Kombat for any number of reasons -- underperforming doesn't change the fact that gamers are horny.
