E: Original Ending and Inspiration

uhm. Hi. aqua here, the author of Wooden Dolls.

The original ending for this book was uh. Kept in the drafts.

I planned on making them sing to class 1A, and when I was writing it. It didn't turn out so great.

Well. Because it was very. Cringy. VERY CRINGY. I was re-reading it and all I could do was cry, THE WHOLE TIME.

(sigh)

Inspiration. Hm.

So. One day I was listening to music. Something I don't do often. (BC MUSIC TASTE IS GARBAG)

And a song called, "Lemon Boy," came on. While it was playing I was like, "Wow, Midoriya would 100% sing this to Bakugou."

Then I thought, "What if I could find more songs that fit mha characters!?"

I then found other songs that really screamed MHHAAA. So I made a mha band 😃

I didn't really put a lot of thought into the name of the band, The Wooden Dolls. The name is okay to me. It's not the best and could get improvement, but it's okay.

Midoriya was the first member apart of the Wooden Dolls! He would definitely sound like cavetown. I just thought Bugs Will Be Boys and Lemon Boy fit him very well!

I also thought Midoriya should deserve some band members! But, I really hate making OCs. I also wanted to make something different from the regular singer Deku fanfics! SO I MADE SOME OF HIS CLASSMATES HIS BAND MEMBERS!

Bakugou was the second member apart of the Wooden Dolls! Because I like Bakudeku and most of the time it's either Midoriya or Bakugou in the band and not both. I don't have a specific person for his voice but I imagine his voice to be a bit. Womanly.

Okay listen to me! You know how people sound different from how they talk to how they sing? Thats how I imagined his voice to be like.

After adding Bakugou to the group I noticed that the band was now filled with children with lots of trXama. So of course, Shinsou came into my view. I was kinda obsessed with Shinkami at the moment and I came across a few songs that would match it up. I thought Shinsou would have a very deep voice. He would probably sing something like Electric Love and Yellow Hearts.

And Finally Todoroki. I didn't really think much about him. Like, he wasn't even supposed to be apart of the band. But it's okay, I'll come back to you.

Finally, when I was all done having my mha 3am thoughts ingrained into my head I looked around on the internet to find some Singer! Deku fanfics and photos. Around the same time, I found the amazing wattpad so I tried finding some fanfics on here.

And the results were kinda shocking to me.

60% of them were making Midoriya act like a weirdo softy uwu boy that wears skirts and shit. Why. Just why.

30% of them had the same plot: Midoriya willingly telling that he has drinked and has tattoos, but doesn't want them to know about his second life. WHY TELL THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE IF YOU DONT WANT THEM TO GET CURIOUS?!?

9% was way more than a singer Deku. Just add gangs/abXse/no consent/angst/strXpper deku/and class 1A that didn't really care. . . I JUST ASKED FOR SINGER DEKU HW DID I END UP WITH THIS!?

1% was just mpreg Deku. I don't think I need to comment on that.

I was kinda disappointed so I just dropped the small idea I created. I actually went on this app and tried to find other Deku fanfics. I found some really good MHA fanfics that inspired me to make this book!

I LOVEEE this one. It's like my favourite fanfic and the main reason I added Todoroki to the band thing. It showed me how Todoroki has so much trauma like the other three. It's just soo good! It's a Bakudeku, Villain Deku/Shinsou/Denki/Todoroki. I recommend reading this!

Back to Todoroki. After this fanfic I added him to the band. He's supposed to sound like Conan Gray and sing Telepath/The King! I was just deciding what ship I was going to put him in:
