The start [+ a bit of history]

On a stormy night, two newborn babies were born into the Coleman family. One being a baby boy and one being a baby girl, both having flaxen locks and blue orbs, which they received from their mother. She named them Keith Coleman and Kiana Coleman. As their mother was just a prostitute, her so-called husband did not want to take care of two children at the same time, for he stated that he was a busy man and cannot waste time on pathetic children. This lead to them arguing on which one of them to keep, the mother wanting to keep both and the husband wanting to keep Keith. 

Of course, the husband had more control, so they finally decided to sell Kiana away to an old hag who lived in a cottage outside their town. Luckily the old hag was a kind woman, who was more than happy to take her in, since she was infertile but have been wanting a child. Turns out the old hag's husband, left her to support the soldiers in war but never came back. Kiana was then renamed as Kiana Damaris, and had been living under the care of the old hag since then, who's name was Marellia Damaris. A few years later, there was an accident at the Coleman's resident, which lead to Keith getting adopted by a distant relative. 

Keith did not know about his twin sister, nor ever heard about her, since she was sold away at a young age. Fortunately, Kiana knew about her twin brother, since Marellia told her about her true family on her 12th birthday. Both of the twins had powers, but different ones. Keith gained Earth magic, while Kiana gained water magic. Of course, only Marellia and Kiana herself knew about her powers. Since Kiana got her powers when she was 4, Marellia had decided to keep her a secret from the world until Kiana was ready. 

As well as keeping Kiana safely inside their cozy cottage house, Marellia also trained her each day for her to become strong, quick-witted and observant. Marellia possess water magic and is able to control it professionally, so teaching her daughter was not a big deal for her. As the years passed, Kiana grew up and became a good water magic user. She was the beauty and the brains, she was elegant and quick in speed, she could easily determine the opponent's weakness when going one-on-one with them.

In the original otome game that Catarina played, Kiana was never supposed to be introduced, which meant that she was never supposed to meet Catarina, Keith, or any of their friends. Since Catarina have been changing the characters, creating new routes and playing the game in her own way, Kiana was brought into the story. Today, was the day Kiana starts her first day at Magic Academy, along with other teens from all around the kingdom. This meant that she would leave her mother, and finally step inside the society. Kiana was skeptical on going, but Marellia convinced, and comforted her that it was required for her to attend the prestigious academy. 

Now, let's officially start Kiana's adventure.

"YOUNG LADY, WAKE UP! YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR YOUR FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!?!" was the first thing Kiana heard, before her eyes were hit by a blinding light, which came from her window. "rrRARGHhH I'M AWAKE I'M AWAKE! AH-" Kiana shouted with wide eyes as she jumped out of bed, causing her to fall on the floor. She heard a chuckle in front of her, causing her to rub her eyes while looking up. "Kiana, sweetheart, have you packed for your leave?" Her mother spoke while helping Kiana up from the ground. "Yes mother, I've already told you that 2 days ago..*yawn*" Kiana replied while stretching. 

"Oh, my apologies then...your precious mother is growing older and older these days. You can't really blame me, can you?" Kiana's mother spoke back, as she tidied Kiana's bed. "Alright alright, I'm sorry too and why are you cleaning my bed-it's mine so I should clean it." Kiana replied while trying to take the sheets away from her mother's hands, which resulted in her hands getting slapped away by her mother. "Shush! Let me do it while you go get ready. You're leaving in two hours, or did you forget that too?" Kiana went quiet and looked away in embarrassment. "YOU DID? I SWEAR THIS GIRL-" Kiana quickly dodged her mother's hand, which was going to hit her forehead. She knew this because whenever her mother was mad at her, she would hit her forehead while scolding her.
