Watching Sunrise with an unexpected person

Kiana was taking a stroll around the garden when she spotted Alan sitting on a bench alone. She walked towards him and greeted him. "Good morning Prince Alan, mind if I sit here?" Alan was caught off guard by Kiana but quickly fixed his face into his usual face. "Alan is fine.." He said before moving towards the right side of the bench, so that there was a spot for Kiana to sit. "Oh, alright. I'll keep that in mind.." She said as she sat down beside him. It was quiet for a while, as they watched the sunrise together. "I never thought I would see a sunrise with you to be honest." Kiana spoke up.

"Hah? What do you mean by that?" Alan replied while turning to Kiana. "I thought everyone would still be asleep at this time, including me, but I couldn't sleep well last night so I woke up early and decided to take a stroll." Kiana replied while turning to Alan with a tired smile. Alan was silent for a bit, before he turned back to the front where you both could see the sunrise. "I also couldn't sleep, so I came here too." was all he replied. The weather was chilly but it was worth it, since the sunrise scenery looked breath taking. "It's beautiful right?" Alan spoke up again as he continued staring at the sky.

"Indeed.." Kiana replied, also staring at the sky. "Are you a second year?" Kiana asked Alan. "Mhm, I'm assuming you're a first year?" Kiana nodded. "How old are you?" Kiana asked again. "16" Kiana smiled slightly at Alan's reply. "I'm 15. I'm assuming you have a fiance already?" Alan sighed and replied. "Yeah..you met her the day before yesterday. She's Mary Hunt." Kiana made an 'ohh' sound before replying. "You don't seem like you like her, or am I wrong?-sorry If it came out disrespectful." Alan shook his head. "No you're correct, we were forced to be engaged by our parents. Both of us don't have feelings for each other." Kiana nodded at his reply.

"Then why didn't you cancel the engagement?" She asked curiously. "I don't know, I guess I just didn't want to disappoint my parents. I'm just a shadow, compared to Geordo." She turned to him, confused. "What do you mean shadow? You both do amazing in class and other stuff! Catarina told me that one time she used a toy snake to scare Geordo, not going to lie, I would laugh at his scared face...just like you did." Kiana said while smiling him. "Wait is Geordo still scared of snakes?" Kiana asked again. Alan thought for a while before nodding. "I think so.." Kiana now had a mischievous look on her face. 

"You're his dorm mate right?" She asked. Alan nodded, unsure of where she's directing this conversation to. "Are you scared of snakes? Like real snakes?" Alan shook his head. "Not as much as Geordo." Kiana thought for a moment, before standing up. She sticked out her hand for Alan to grab. Alan did and she pulled him up. "are you down to prank your brother again?" Alan smirked, "Hell yeah." Kiana smiled and pulled Alan with her to a more secluded area of the garden, full of bushes. She squatted down and Alan followed her actions. "What are we even doing?" Kiana didn't replied and kept dugging her hand in the bushes. 

Her eyes widened a bit and she smiled. "This~" She said before pulling out a real snake, making Alan's eyes widened and he backed away for a bit. "I thought you said you weren't scared of snakes?" Alan avoided eye contact and replied, "Yeah what do you mean? I'm n-not afraid of snakes.." Kiana smirked and slid the snake on his chest, making Alan's eyes widened 10 times more. "G-GET IT OFF OF ME!! HEY STOP LAUGHING THIS IS SERIOUS" He shouted but he was still as a statue, due to the snake crawling up his neck.

"Pfft hhahahah-alright alright. Stay still." Kiana said before coming closer to his neck, so that she could fully pry the snake off of him. Kiana didn't realize how close her face was to Alan's, but he did, immediately getting flustered. "Who's a good girl hm? you are!" Kiana said as the snake crawled up to her arm from Alan's neck. Kiana pet the snake on its head, making the snake relax on her hand. Alan looked down and realized that Kiana was sitting between his legs, turning him red as a tomato. He covered his face with his right hand for Kiana to not see his blushing face. "You're even weirder than Catarina.." He said as he looked away. 

"HEy that's rude! If you say that again, i'll make rose crawl on your neck again!" Kiana said. "Rose? you're naming the snake already?" Alan said in disbelief. Kiana nodded proudly and was going to say something when she was interrupted by a gasp. Both Alan and Kiana turned around to see Geordo with a shocked face, which turned into a smirk. "My my, I didn't think my own brother would catch a beauty~" Alan's cheeks became pink tinted while Kiana said, "Eh?" with a confused face. "Look at the position you two are in! You guys look so in love." Now Kiana was also blushing since she realized where she was sitting and Alan became a blushing mess. 

"R-rose! chase him!" Kiana said to the snake while pointing at Geordo and it immediately obliged, slithering towards him in a fast speed. Geordo screamed and ran away, never realizing that the snake stopped chasing him and came back to Kiana. Both Alan and Kiana started laughing at Geordo's scream and terrified face as rose slithered on Kiana's back, to her shoulder, resting there. Alan was still laughing but staring at Kiana's bright face now. Her laugh was...hypnotic to him. The way the sunlight reflected her face and how she looked so happy, made his heart beat faster. "It seems to really like you." Alan said as he shifted his gaze to the snake on her shoulder. 

Kiana stopped laughing and replied, "She has a name alright? it's rose so don't call her it!" Alan shook his head. "yeah yeah..but how do you even know its a-I mean rose, is a she?" Kiana shrugged and replied, "She seems to be fine with it when I called her rose, so I assume she's a she." Alan nodded and got up before sticking his hand out so that he could help Kiana up. She took it and he pulled her up, perhaps with too much strength, causing her to crash into his chest. "Oof-" Kiana said as her hands laid on Alan's chest, while Alan had his hands around her waist since he didn't think before catching her. Kiana's head was also against his chest, as she heard his heart beat quicken. 

Both of them were too shocked to move an inch as they stayed like this for a few minutes, before Kiana pulled away with red cheeks. "I um.." She said as she fumbled with her fingers while Alan scratched his nape awkwardly, also with red cheeks. They were both saved by the bell that came from the academy, indicating that it's breakfast time. "Oh, It's breakfast time...do you uh-..want to get breakfast together?" Alan said, cursing at himself silently for stuttering. Kiana nodded while giving a closed eye smile. They began walking back to the academy in silence, since both of them were embarrassed to start a conversation after what happened. 

They arrived at the dinning hall and saw the others, seated in a table. "Speak of the devil, there they are. Was Alan a good kisser, Kiana san?" Geordo said with a big smirk as the others from the table looked up with wide eyes. "W-WHAT WE DIDN'T KISS-" Kiana said as her cheeks became red again, along with Alan. "Stupid why would we kiss-" Alan said as he hit his brother's back. "OWH THAT HURTS AND I SAW YOU TOO WITH MY OWN EYES ALRIGHT? YOU TWO WERE LITERALLY ABOUT TO KISS!" Geordo exclaimed back.

"Geordo." Nicol spoke up, making everyone turn to him. "No need to be jealous Nicol, you still have a chance, they aren't together, yet~ Am I right Alan?" Geordo said. "Geordo, drop it. Let's just eat." Nicol said. 'Damn seeing Nicol intimidating is-breath taking..' Kiana said as she sat beside Keith while Alan sat next to Catarina. "Kiana, did you really kissed Alan?" Keith whispered to Kiana with a smile but something told her that his smile was not positive. "No, it's just Geordo making up things because I made a snake chase him." Kiana whispered back before drinking her tea. "You made a snake chase Geordo??" Keith said louder in shock, which caught the attention of other people on the table. 

Kiana nudged Keith's side with a 'look what you did' look, making Keith return a sheepish smile. "Oh yeah, she made a snake chase Geordo and he ran away screaming, looking terrified. I bet you didn't tell them that, brother." Alan said while smirking at Geordo who had a deadpanned face. Alan saw rose's head peaking out of Kiana's hair in the corner of his eye, which he widened his eyes at. "You brought the snake with you!??" He said while looking at Kiana. She looked confused before she widened her eyes at the snake slithering down her arm. 

"Rose! I thought you already went away.." She said as she makes the snake sit on her palm, while everyone except Alan and Nicol had terrified looks on their faces. "Everyone, meet rose, the snake who chased Geordo!" Kiana said as she smiled at everyone while the snake stuck its tongue out at them.
