Chapter 12 : Training

(Y/N) POV

I finish packing essentials for the ten day long outing me and Rias' peerage was about to have. I guess because of that 'proxy' piece that maid, who I now know to be Grafiya, gave Rias, I'm technically a member of the peerage until this training course and the rating game are both over with. I walk downstairs to see Kinnara in her smaller dragon form snacking on the fruit in the fruit bowl.

Me : You enjoying yourself in there?

Kinnara : Turns to me and swallows the chunk of apple that was in her mouth.

Kinnara : Yes, these fruits a rather sweet.

Me : Yeah, although sometimes they can taste like mushy paper.

Kinnara : I see.

She takes one last bite before gliding onto my shoulder and climbing into my open bag.

Me : Alright, I'm going to need you to stay in there until we get to the club room, then you can come out.

Kinnara : Understood.

I leave the house and lock the door behind me, I eventually meet up with Issei and Asia as we make it to the clubroom together. We open the door to see Rias, Akeno, Koneko and Kiba already there.

Rias : Great, we are all here, we can begin now.

Rias opens a magic circle and we all go through, we appear at the base of a mountain.

Rias : This is my family's holiday home of sorts. I have been given permission to train you all here. (Y/N) you have the things I told you, correct?

Me : Yeah. Tracksuit, a bit of food and enough water to make a lake.

Everyone else gets there bags, and may I say that Koneko's was fucking massive. Issei looks at his bag before looking at mine.

Issei : Hey, why do you get such a smaller bag then me?

Rias : Because Issei, the proxy piece didn't give (Y/N) any benefits that a devil usually would by joining a peerage. He didn't get enhanced senses, a longer lifespan, not even the wings a devil usually would.

Issei sulked as he went to grab his bag and we all began to run up the mountain with Issei whining all the way. We make it the top and Issei collapses with me breathing rather heavily.

Rias : Now we are all here, we shall change into our tracksuits and begin our training.

Issei : What, we just got here.

Rias : And we are also starting our training scheme.

Me : If it's alright, Kinnara was going to train me with some of her spells.

Rias : That's ok, just make sure you pay attention to the time.

Me : Got it.

We enter the house and change into our school gym uniforms and exit it again. I walk to an open area and Kinnara transforms into her human form and turns to me.

Kinnara : Alright then, we shall begin your training here. First, please give me your hand.

She opens her hand for me and I place my own in it. She closes her eyes as a dim blue glow appears before slowly disappearing. She opens her eyes and I remove my hand.

Me : So, what was that all about?

Kinnara : It's simple, I gave you a source for you to draw upon magical energy from, allowing you to use the spells I am going to teach you. It will also give you a natural resistance to magic in the future.
