Magician of the Moonlight

"Looks like this isn't it either. Ara ara, my luck is running out on me thanks to a certain someone."

Long, luscious hair danced in the wind. Her expression was unreadable as it was covered by an elegant white top hat wrapped delicately with a sapphire ribbon. Behind her came the sound of rushed footsteps and ragged breathing.

"Give…..the jewel back Kaitou Kid."

The voice belonged to a tall, slender male. His cowlick stood stubbornly against the howl of the chilly night air. He was a little out of breath as he had been running, trying to catch the elegant Moonlight Phantom standing before him.

She however, did not turn her back around. Long, slender fingers toyed with the jewel in her hand as she didn't seem to have any intentions of returning the jewel anytime soon. "Don't worry my dear tantei-kun. I will return the jewel. Don't be so brash~"

He gritted his teeth. "I hope you had enough fun playing around tonight. Now, hand over the jewel."

"Or what?"

She turned around, silver monocle shining brightly under the soft glow of the moon. A smirk played at the corner of her mouth. He couldn't see her face, but she must've been a great beauty

No, it must be just a disguise.

She was a master of disguise. Her voice was quite deceptive too. In fact, he didn't know if the voice she's using to speak with him was her own or not. Everything about her was so deceptive but yet mysterious. It drew him, it trickled his curiosity. He hated to admit it, but he wanted to pry into her life. He wanted to uncover her.

"Or I'll shoot you." He pulled out the revolver he carried with him wherever he went. But she didn't seem to be afraid. In fact, she smirked more.

"Aw, don't be so cruel my love. Since when did I keep anything I stole?"

Her voice was sugar coated. She was trying to seduce him. He knew, but he still couldn't deny the feeling of heat rushing to his cheeks. Still, he kept his gun aimed at her.

She finally turned around. Smirk still visible at the corner of her lips as she made her way to him. Her white cape danced behind her as she took confident strides toward him. He gasped and placed his index finger on the trigger. "Don't come any closer!" He warned, but it seemed to fail as he heard a whisper in his ear.

"You're too slow my love~"

He jumped back, but she was already gone. Inside of his pocket, was the jewel he was seeking.

"Just what are you….. Kaitou Kid?"
