The two of them conquer land step after step destroying anyone that
crossed their path as this relationship was literally all they had.

A year passes
The world has become a better place. Gay marriage is recognized, and the
government has even went as far to recognize/accept the relationship
between an earthworm and a bird. It's called the Motherfucker of Love.
The relationship begins to falter after the worm feels that the bird has
begun to reject her. This causes her to become withdrawn, then depressed. Death soon follows. The worm dies, and the bird becomes a widow. She is alone once more, having lost her lover and her protector, until a strange man in a hood appears and begins to follow her. He says he is a harbinger, but she is not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

Two years pass
The man with the hood has become a good friend and confidant. He follows
her on her daily hunts, and helps her stay away from people whenever she
starts to act strange.

Five years pass
The hooded man reveals himself to be a prophet. He tells the woman and
her friend that the day of judgement has come. The world will soon come
to an end. All living things should be prepared to die before then. The
woman believes, and becomes the kind of person who thinks the apocalypse is the best thing that could happen to the world.
