Todoroki's Point Of View

I quietly sat in the waiting room of the doctor's office. I restrained my leg from bouncing as I know my father would be angered by the simple action. So I let my anxiety go to my hands as I slowly picked away at my nails.

"Todoroki, Shoto."

The doctor says. My father Endeavor is the number two hero, and I could tell he didn't want to be here because he had more important things to do. He knew I had a quirk, but he was worried about what my ranking would be. He didn't want me to be an Omega, he would rather me be an Alpha, but I think he can survive with me being a Beta too.

We walked into the doctor's office and sat down, my father grunting at who knows what.

"Ok so, Todoroki, you have a quirk. Have you discovered it yet?"

He asked. I went to speak when I was interrupted.

"Of course he has, he's my son."

My father spoke for me, it angered me how he spoke when I had my own voice.

"O-ok, s-sorry, are you ready for your ranking?"

The doctor asks looking at me. I nod before my father could say anything more.

"Ok, well you are a Beta."

He starts and begins to briefly explain the pros and cons of my rank.

"Are you sure he isn't an Alpha? Check again."

My father was getting agitated and it was beginning to annoy me.

"I-I'm sorry sir, but... He's a Beta..."

The doctor slightly panicked, as he was nervous being around my father seeing as he has been known to lash out. My father growled in anger at the doctor's response, and continued to grumble about it throughout our walk to the car. I finally decided to speak up.

"Father leave it, even as a Beta I'm still strong. Don't worry, it won't change"

He threw me into the side of the car, pinning me there as he spoke.

"No son of mine will be known as Beta, do you understand me? Not only that but I am also going to up your training. I refuse to have a weakling as a son."

After he let go of me we got in the car and silently drove home. A single tear slipped from my eye as I looked out the window, watching the blurred scenery pass by.

"Shoto."

I flinched at the name but reluctantly turned to look at my father. He stared at me for a few seconds before walking towards the training room.

"Come. We have work to do."

~TIME SKIP~

When we were done training I went to my room covered in bruises with a few broken ribs, and tears streaming down my face. While I was wiping the blood from my body, I heard the front door slam shut indicating that my old man had gone out drinking for the night. I took this opportunity to get out of this hell hole I call a home. I waited a few minutes to ensure my father was gone before I decided to slide open my window. I peered out to see a large drop outside my window. What can I expect, my room is on the top floor.

I climbed out the window and jumped the three stories, collapsing as I hit the ground. As I stood up I could feel my legs shaking and threatening to give out. It's fine I've been through worse, I thought as I began limping away from my home...if I can even call it that.

I wasn't entirely sure where I was going but I didn't care. As I began wondering further away I heard yelling and arguing, and some cries, I walked closer to the sound and heard voices. I found the source and it was two boys who looked to be about my age at a park. One of them had spiky blond hair, while the other had green curls. As I looked closer the green haired boy was crying into the other's arms. Well, at least I'm not the only one having a shitty day. I started to walk away, as what had happened was none of my business, but felt an urge to comfort the crying boy.

I look at the sky and realize it's getting rather dark, and late, so I decide to make my way back home. The whole way back I thought about what would be in store for me for tonight and the next years of my life.
