The air Arizona air was warm but there was a small breeze blowing through. Jenny was sitting on the park bench as she watched her boy play around on the play structure. John was five years old. His hair was nearly white from how blonde it was. He was wearing a button up shirt that sported all sorts of weird shapes and colors, it was his favorite shirt. He was wearing a pair of black jean shorts and a pair of sneakers. He ran over to the swings. That's where he saw her.

Micah's long blonde hair was flowing through the air as she pumped her little legs to swing as high as she could by herself. She was only four. She was wearing a light purple sun dress with little black shoes that buckled. Her face was peppered with freckles and her eyes were a shade of light ocean blue. Micah kept swinging and threw herself from the swing trying to mimic the older kids she saw who had leapt from the swings and landed on their feet. She almost had it but ended up on both of her knees in the wood chips that surround the swing structure. Before she could even get up John had rushed over to her side

John rushed to the girls side who he had been watching on the swings, leaning down in front of her as he gently took her little hand into his. His eyes were full of concern as he spoke shyly to the girl "Are you okay?"
The girl looked up at him with her ocean blues filled with tears, a few tears escaping and rolling down her soft pink cheeks. Her voice was shaky and squeaky as she nodded her head and spoke "I'm okay...thank you." A soft smile made its way onto her lips showing off that she was missing her two front teeth as she looked at the boy who was still holding her hand tightly.
John's lips curled up into a wide smile as he looked back at the girls nearly toothless smile, he already had his adult teeth in place of his front two (little did he know he would lose those later in life along with some others) but he remembered when he was lacking front teeth so he didn't dare laugh at her. He kept a hold of her hand as he pulled her up off of the ground to stand "I'm John" he spoke before looking down at her scraped up bloody knees and frowned feeling a little ill at the sight of the blood "That...doesn't look so good, come with me".
Micah was dragged along by the boy as he lead her somewhere and she squeaked softly under her breath while she spoke "My name is Micah" she looked around her as John tugged her towards his mother.
Jenny couldn't help but to smile as she saw her son hand in hand with the little girl at first before she glanced at the girls knees and she reached for her bag and pulled out a little first aid kit she had brought with her incase this sort of thing happened with John.
John walked over to his mother still holding Micah's hand tightly in his own. "Micah this is my mama, she can help with your booboos." John nodded his head once as he let go of the girls hand and pushed her towards his mom gently.

After Jenny had helped clean up Micah's knees and bandage them John and her went off to play and ended up sitting under a tree and talking about the things they liked. They both enjoyed the outdoors and John had discovered that Micah loved the water and swimming. While Micah had learnt that John loved baseball. The two sat and talked for what seemed like hours but it was really only maybe forty five minutes at the most before Jenny and Micah's mom Megan had gone over to the both of them telling them it was time to go in witch John had wrapped his arms around Micah tightly and shook his head "No! I don't wanna leave Mici! She is my best friend!"
Micah blinked her eyes quickly and giggled at the nickname he had given her and she wrapped her arms back around him tightly and nodded her little head in agreement "Johnny is my best friend mama I don't wanna leave him!"
Jenny and Megan both turned to look at each other and let the two be for a few minutes so they could discus information to each other so the two kids would be able to stay in contact. After that both mothers went and explained to their kids that they would be able to see each other tomorrow and would be able to hang out all of the time. With that both kids were happy and agreed to leave after hugging each other for another five minutes.
