Part 7 (second date 0///0)

After maybe a week or so of spending more and more time together, Wilbur finally invited me to his house. I'll be completely honest, I was fucking terrified when I got that message. If only because I knew Techno was gonna be there. But at the same time, how could I say no? I've been wondering how wild that house must be, there was no way I was gonna pass up the opportunity to see it for myself.

I drove with him after school;he'd somehow managed to already get himself a driver's license. We drove in almost complete silence. I can't say it wasn't awkward, but we really had nothing to talk about. Even so Wilbur was very clearly itching to start conversation. But, to my dismay, he never did. At least not until we got to his house.

We stepped inside and... it was not as chaotic as I was expecting. To my complete and utter surprise, Mr. Soot has a wife. Another thing that surprised me, the two of them had somehow managed to keep their incredibly clean and organized, while living and taking care of three high school aged kids, mind you. My parents can barely take care of one. But one thing was as I figured it would be.

Tommy came sprinting through the room at full speed, carrying a very shiny item that I couldn't fully see. He was quickly followed by Techno who tackled him onto the couch, desperately trying to wrestle the item out of Tommy's hands. Tommy laughed, seeming entirely unphased by the whole situation.

"GIVE IT BACK YOU LITTLE BRAT!!" Techno's voice boomed throughout the room, sending a shiver down my spine. I looked at Wilbur, who was at most mildly annoyed.

"IT'S MINE NOW, BLADE!!" Tommy giggled obnoxiously, kicking at Techno, who didn't budge.

"YOU'LL EAT THOSE WORDS, THESEUS!!"

"Having fun?" Wilbur asked as he approached the couch. I decided to stay by the door, just in case.

"WILBUR!! WIL!! HE'S CHOKING ME WIL! HE'S GONNA KILL ME!" Tommy managed to shout through his incessant laughter.

"WELL NOW YOU'RE ASKING FOR IT!!" Techno quickly yelled back.

"Alright alright, calm down. What happened?" Wilbur remained calm, doing his best to mediate the situation. It seemed like he had to do this quite a lot.

"He stole my fucking crown." Techno said through gritted teeth, glaring at his youngest brother, who continued to laugh wildly. Wilbur sighed.

"Alright, I don't have the time for this right now. You two better figure this out because we have a guest over." Suddenly, all the attention was on me. I was frozen. I had no idea what in the world I was supposed to do. So I awkwardly smiled, unsure whether or not it even came across as a smile. Techno's eyes widened the moment he saw me. He stood up, moving off of Tommy and closer to Wilbur.

"Why did you invite... him over?" He spoke quietly and talked as though if he said my name, a terrible curse would come about him. Dickhead.

"Calm down. He's my friend," Wilbur replied, not bothering to stay quiet. "If you don't bother him I'm sure he'll have no reason to bother you." They were just talking about me like I wasn't even there. Techno groaned before turning his attention back to Tommy, who was still tightly grasping the silver crown to his chest.

"Give it back." Techno muttered.

"MAKE ME!!" In an instant, Tommy is back on his and running up the stairs to the second floor. Techno quickly chases after him.

"GOD DAMMIT TOMMY!!"

Tommy laughed and I heard a door slam shut. Not more than a few seconds later, Techno was angrily banging his fists against what I assumed to be the same door. Wilbur sighed and looked back at me with an awkward smile.
