Jungsu 🐱🔷

Jungsu was a cat hybrid, his ears, hair and tail a caramel brown. The world had many hybrids and over time everyone learned to accept them, so now the hybrids could live freely and safely.

The boy lived with 5 other people he loved very much and considered them family. It was pretty chaotic at times, but they were so sweet and caring to him.

He was in his room, sat down on his desk watching random videos on YouTube when Gaon suddenly entered with a loud whine.

"Kitten~" he walked towards the hybrid and hugged him from behind "we're all bored, and you've been in here way too long"

Jungsu giggled and his tail went up to brush lightly at the younger's arm "let's go do something then" he closed his computer and got up, exiting the room holding Gaon's hand.

The others were all in the living room, visibly very bored, it was almost painful to watch.

"Oh finally, it's been a while since the last time you left that cave, kitten" Jooyeon said playfully. Yes they all called him that, and he absolutely loved it.

"Sorry, I was introverting" he walked to the couch and sat between Junhan and Gunil, while Gaon sat between the other two.

"Yeah, me too, but they pretty much dragged me here" Junhan said and glared a little at Jooyeon and Seungmin, who just chuckled.

"Come on, a little socialization will be good for you, plus you love us" Jooyeon said and shot a finger heart at the older, who in return rolled his eyes with a small smile.

While that happened, Gunil started petting Jungsu's head, especially his favorite spot, which was at the base of his cat ears. The hybrid let out a few purrs and immediately cuddled to the older's side, closing his eyes and enjoying the moment.

"Let's watch a movie! I heard there's this new horror movie on Netflix" Seungmin said after the two youngest stopped bickering.

"Everyone okay with horror?" Gunil asked and they all nodded, except Jungsu didn't really hear the question and just agreed, too absorbed with the hand playing with his ears.

You see, they barely had movie nights with all six together, and when they did, it was never horror movies, because the hybrid always coaxed them into watching something else.

Jungsu was easily scared, but most of the time he managed it, not wanting the others to think of him as weak or a cry baby. Plus he hated feeling scared.

He only realized what they were watching when the movie started and a very creepy song came right from the beginning. His eyes immediately widened and he shifted uncomfortably, curling more into his hyung. It was too late to suggest another movie now.

During the whole movie the boy was tense, his tail swinging slowly from side to side showing he was uneasy, and he was very jumpy.

"Kitten, are you okay?" Gunil asked, since he was so close he could feel the boy trembling slightly.

"Y-yeah..."

He was actually far from okay. He really despised feeling his heart pounding and fear fluttering in his stomach, he didn't like how unsafe he felt.

Jungsu was looking at the screen, and he went pale as everything turned quiet and the main character slowly walked around. He knew it was a jump scare, he tried to be prepared, but the more the person in the movie walked, the more Jungsu felt his whole body tremble and he had to hold in his whimpers.

The main character stopped, everything seemed fine, and Jungsu felt relieved, maybe he was wrong and it wasn't a jump scare. He relaxed a little, but it only made the whole thing worse.

The character turned around and the monster suddenly jumped on them.

Jungsu screamed. He screamed at the top of his lungs and clung onto Gunil like his life depended on it, hiding his face in his neck.

The others were more startled at the scream than the movie itself, and Seungmin instantly paused it as he was with the remote.

"Kitten?" Junhan asked from the other side of the boy. He put his hand on the hybrid's back and felt him wince hard.

Jungsu started sobbing and everyone grew concerned.

"Jungsu, hey, what's wrong?" Gunil asked softly, running slow circles on the younger's back.

He was sobbing and whimpering, his tail wrapping around his own body and his ears going down. The boys let him cry a bit and Gunil tried his best to comfort him while Jooyeon grabbed a glass of water.

After some time, Jungsu felt his own heart slowing down and his breath going back to normal, so he raised his head from where it was safely tucked in the oldest shoulder. He took the glass from Jooyeon, thanking him quietly, he slowly sipped the cold liquid before leaving the cup on the small table in front of the couch.

"I'm sorry..." he whispered and whipped his cheeks, bringing his knees to his chest. "I just... really hate horror movies"

"You have nothing to be sorry for. I'm sorry, I wouldn't have suggested it if I knew" Seungmin said with a guilty expression.

"It's not your fault, Minnie"

Jungsu rested his chin on his knees and sniffled. He was still trembling slightly, and when there was a loud sound, probably from their apartment neighbor, he jumped slightly and suppressed another scream, his heartbeat daring to get faster again.

"Kitten, it's okay, you're safe with us. Let's watch something else, yeah? You can choose" Gaon said and smiled at the hybrid, who smiled back and nodded.

Gunil and Junhan went to get started on dinner while the others started the movie. Jungsu curled up on Jooyeon's lap, Seungmin on one side petting his hair and ears, Gaon on the other side holding his hand as they watched the hybrid's favorite movie and noticed how his mood got way better and he seemed relaxed again.

"We love you, kitten"

I'm currently writing a minsung one shot that might be divided in two parts, I'll try to finish it soon and stop procrastinating. I'm really sorry for the slow updates.
