IT WAS THE NEXT DAY and Kassie just finished her unpacking. Today would be the day that her best friend Cammie would be moving in from North Carolina.

"Are you sure you have everything?" Kassie asked for the 500th time.

"Yes I'm sure. And if you ask me one more damn time the first thing I'm gonna do in Florida is commit a murder" Cammie snickered.

"Well at least you'd fit in." Kassie shrugged

A laugh could be heard through the phone.

"okay" Cammie zipped her suitcase. "here we go. I gotta drive I'll SEE YOU IN FLORIDA BABY!!" Cammie practically screamed.

"BYE!" Kassie basically broke the speakers in both of their phones.

After they hung up the phone Kassie went around and cleaned up some left over packing stuff.

-
Kassie now needed to get some final things for Cammie's arrival like food, drinks, kitchen utensils, and more.

"checklist.. checklist.. there it is" she mumbled to herself looking for her notebook.

She looked to the counter on the left and there it was.

Kassie reached for it and started to read her checklist aloud.

"towels, napkins, coffee creamer.." she mumbled to herself.

Still being in her pajamas even though it was 3 p.m she decided to go upstairs and change.

As she ran up the stairs Kassie thought about what she should wear out for the day.

She arrived to her bedroom and walked up to her cream colored closet doors and gently opened them. Scrolling through the hangers that were all different shades of black and grey she stopped at a familiar sky blue tank top, threw it on her bed and walked. She opened the top left drawer and pulled out some plain white socks.

After throwing on the blue top she walked over to her desk and took a pair of folded ripped jeans off the chair.

After she threw on her outfit, she went into her bathroom and brushed both her hair and her teeth, threw on some light makeup, she was finally ready.

Kassie had just arrived downstairs again, and slid on some white slip on Vans. She grabbed her list, purse, and her car keys and headed into her 2011 black Jeep Cherokee, and was off to the store.

-

Kassie had arrived at the store and walked inside.

She grabbed a shopping cart and placed her purse and reusable bags into the child seating in the front of the cart.

She grabbed everything she needed for Cammy's arrival and headed to the checkout line and was met with a young blonde girl at the cashier.

Kassie started to place her items on the conveyor belt and a the cashier began to make small talk whilst scanning.

"So you're new here?" She asked scanning some canned peaches.

"Oh yeah I am" kassie said. "How could you tell?"

"well I worked here last summer and I'm currently working here-- as you can tell" she laughed.

"And I've never seen you here before" she fumbled with the paper towels a bit before scanning them.

"Oh well I just moved into a house in gateberry" Kassie explained.

"Really? That's cool my brother also lives there" The cashier beamed.

They sat in a comfortable silence as the sounds of shopping cart wheels, conveyor belts moving, and others talking filled their ears.

Just as the young cashier put the final item in a reusable bag she looked up and saw her older brother walk them.

"Speaking of the devil" The cashier observed as Clay spun a chair backwards and sat on it.

(A.n does the chair thing make sense???)

Kassie turned around to see who she was talking about and her eyes slightly widened when she saw her next door neighbor.

"Hey neighbor!" Clay said standing up from the chair.

"Hi, long time no see huh?" Kassie joked.

"You guys are neighbors" The cashier noted with a smile.

"Yeah we are, we actually just met yesterday" Clay spoke.

"Sorry about that" kassie chuckled.

"So?" Clay questioned. "Clock out then we go get a pizza?" He asked doing little finger guns at the cashier.

"Oh my god yes I'll be right back" the blonde spoke taking off her name badge.

"She's seems sweet" kassie chimed in, ending the small silence.

"Not to me but for the most part she's alright" Clay laughed.

"Well it was nice seeing you again but I better get these home" She nodded towards the bags in her hands.

"Or" Clay said dragging out the 'r' slightly. "You could come over and eat amazing pizza with me and Rylee?" He offered.

"Really?" She asked making sure.

"Well yeah I wouldn't ask if I didn't mean it" Clay smiled reassuringly.

"Well okay then I'll totally go that'd be cool as long as you're not gonna kill me or anything" kassie laughed at her own joke.

"Well, I promise not to kill you" Clay laughed back.

"I should probably take these home then?" She held up the the tote bags filled with goods.

"Yeah, see you then?" He smiled.

"For sure" Kassie started to walk away.

"Oh wait" Clay said putting his hand her shoulder.

"Yeah?" She looked slightly up at him, her blue eyes meeting his green ones.

"I should probably text you or you could text me when your ready to come over or something right?" Clay remarked.

"My number? Sure let me just.." she fumbled with her purse to grab out her phone. "Uhm here" she handed him her phone. "ID?" He inquired. "Um point it at my face I guess" she laughed.

He pointed the phone towards her and she smiled brightly before nodding that he could add his number.

"Great! I'll text you later." she said as he handed her back the lilac Iphone.

"Bye!!" He beamed, waving a goodbye.
