Hey im Mia just your normal 15 year old girl, my parents split up when i was 11. My mother had started doing drugs after my father left us, with her addiction and my dads absence i was all alone. i decided to text my cousin lexi i asked her if i could stay with them over the summer because i didn't want to be alone anymore
of course they said yes and here i am now on the next flight to california, it's a 6 hour flight so i decided i'd get come sleep. i woke up to my flight attendant on the speaker
"we'll be landing in 10 minutes ladies and gentlemen" i heard through the muffled speakers.
i sat there for the entirety of the remaining time thinking about how happy i was to see them again but more importantly how happy i was to finally not be alone at night. we landed and i rushed off the plane as fast at i could, i got my luggage, and made my way to the exit, i saw lexi and cassie standing there with a tall muscular man with brown eyes. i ran towards lexi engulfing her in a hug "oh my god i missed you so fucking much" i whispered
"literally i love you mia" she looked at me smiling
"you've gotten so big" cassie said walking up to give me a hug, i wrapped my arms around her and she ruffled my hair "look at you kid, you're stunning"
"thank you cas but look at you your absolutely perfect" i said looking her up and down taking in her new appearance
"im nate" the random guy spoke eyeing me
"nice to meet you nate" i spoke before putting my hand out to shake his hand, he returned my favor and we walked to nate's truck. i got into the back seat and sparked up a conversation with lexi "do you think i'll make any friends" i said with a nervous laugh"
of course you will M but if you don't you can always hang with me" she said smiling ear to ear
"thank you lex" i said rubbing her shoulder
"i have a boyfriend now" she spoke still smiling
"oh my gosh lex that's great" i smiled "what's his name"
"fezco" she looked me in my eyes "he's very handsome"
"i bet he is you have incredibly high standers" i giggled
"you know his brothers the same age as you and i think he might be your type" she eyed me
"i haven't even made any friends yet and your already setting me up" i paused "classic lexi" i laughed at her
"hey he's a sweet kid" she wasn't convincing me "i haven't really talked to him he's a bit quiet but he looks like a good kid"
"lexi i love you but just because he looks nice doesn't mean he is" i looked her in the eyes "maybe i can try to be friends with him"
"maybe but it'll take longer than the summer to break down all his walls" she spoke
"lexi your trying to set me up with a mood teenage boy" that'll never work
"mia he's not moody he's just been through a lot" she offered a sad smile "but i think you'd be his type"

i had finished unpacking and i decided i wanted to go get some snacks, i knew where nothing was so i looked up the closest store it showed a gas station about a 10 minute walk from the house so i decided to go. i didn't wanna bother lexi so i decided to go on my own.
i walked into the store and saw a super hot red head he looked to be about 20 years old. i walked around and picked out some chocolate milk, a bag of purple Doritos, and some sour gummy worms. the perfect gas station order salty and sweet, i went to check out when i realized the red head want there any more. the new guy was short, he had black buzzed hair, face tats, and he looked to be about my age. i handed him my stuff so he could ring me up.
