~Rylan's POV~
I opened my eyes, wincing at the bright light. Am I dead?
I sat up slightly. I was in the hospital again. Wonderful.
I looked over and saw the guys sitting there, Dave and Krist were asleep. Kurt was staring at the floor. I reached out to him and tried talking, but only a strained grunt came out. Kurt looked up at me, shaking Krist and Dave "He's awake!" I let my arm fall, sighing. Why can't I talk? I coughed, trying to sit up. Kurt gently pushed me back down, helping me drink some water, I coughed again.
"Why am I here?" I said, my voice was really scratchy,
"When we found you we ran over to you to get you to the car, then you collapsed. We noticed you were passed out and weren't breathing normally, so we took you here."
I nodded slightly, looking at the ceiling.
"Rylan, who..who was that person you went with?" Krist asked, "Ruby." I mumbled
"That bitch did this?!" Dave yelled, standing up. He sounded really pissed. I sat up, "She's done this before, it's not a big deal. Things just got out of control..please calm down.." Kurt shook his head "Rylan. This isn't okay, we all know you hate her. Why'd you go with her?"
I stared at the wall, explaining
"That one night at the club where we saw her, she went over to me when I was drunk and said that she was my girlfriend. I know she isn't but she threatens me whenever I try getting out of the relationship."
I sighed, my voice was starting to shake.
"She uses drugs and alcohol to get me to calm down so she can do anything she wants, she knows I'm addicted now. She uses that as another reason to keep me with her."
They all looked pissed, I covered my face with the pillow that was under my head.

~Later that day~
~Krist's POV~
I helped Rylan up to our room, laying him on the bed, "Just try to sleep, okay? I'll be right here if you have a nightmare or something." I said, sitting by the bed. He stared at the ceiling, falling asleep after a few minutes. Kurt and Dave told me to watch him while they went to the police, they want Ruby to leave Rylan alone.
Rylan sat up gasping and coughing, I rushed to get a glass of water for him. I helped him drink some of it, he calmed down. I rubbed his back, "You okay?" He nodded, laying down. As soon as he fell asleep I grabbed a book and started reading it. I fell asleep halfway through it.
