Max and Zane stood in front of Ben's house.
"Are you sure this is the right place? it doesn't look like the house of a hacker." Zane spoke with a detective's voice, Max knew this is going to go well.
"Quit using that voice, and yes I am confident." Max looked at Zane, not only he was using that uncanny voice, but he also looked uneasy.
"What is it, what's wrong?"
"What if he hacks me? Will you be ok? I mean he was able to outsmart me."
'The audacity for him to use that voice for that sentence' Max thought, he knew he was up to something that isn't related to what he said.
"When is he going to respond?" It had been many minutes since they rang the bell once.
"Speaking of which, why do you use that voice?"
"It's because PIXAL loves me hearing this handsome voice."
"Except it's not."
"But according to PIXAL, she says she loves my detective's voice."
"I don't recall her saying that." Max started to get why PIXAL hated that voice, it sounds like an annoying interrogator. But that should not distract him from what is yet to come.
A few minutes pass and nothing. As Max and Zane turned around, the door creaked and began to open like an abandoned house, Zane looked at Max.
"Are you sure this is the right place?" Max followed his eyes which seems to point towards the window which appeared to be cracked as if he never bothered to fix it.
"The last time I visited it wasn't as bad as this."
The house was damaged. The house was bright with vibrant colors with colorful front gardens and now the house is rusty, windows smashed like they would have been destroyed during the battle, the front garden is nothing but dirt. Max nearly felt empathetic for him, looks like his life has been destroyed. Or maybe he moved houses but he would have let him know.
"Should we go in?" Zane spoke up, taking Max out of his thoughts.
"Yeah sure." Both Zane and Max were aware of the traps Ben might have set up.
Max and Zane traverse through the house, why would the door be open? Did Ben know they were coming here? Max tried to not touch his friend's stuff as he went through the house, he just wanted to speak to him. Zane on the other hand wanted to be careful as Ben might jump out of nowhere, hack him and turn him against his friend, He closely followed Max, who seemingly know the way around.
CREAK
Max jumped and Zane turned around to his defensive position.
"Sorry to startle you." A figure came in, rather casually.
"Jay? What are you doing here?" Zane spoke in his normal voice, finally.
'Great, he must have followed us, which isn't a big of a deal anyways.' Max thought of himself as Jay answered Zane with the usual stuff. "Just curious."
"Whatever it is, don't creep us on like that." Zane whispered at Jay, turning around to face the back garden.
"Huh, I never had a friend who could be such an ass." Jay whispered back at Zane as he crept past him.
"Or one who could be so stupid to follow us!" Zane whisper shouted at Jay as they made it to the backyard. Max did chuckle a bit at what Zane responded as he did not think Zane would say that.
When they made it to the backyard, they saw a blue light shining from a shed that looks like it was just built. As the three walks towards the shed, Ben emerges from the shed, directly walking toward Max.
