Chapter 3: The picnic date

MARSHALL'S POV

Marshall found himself waking up to the sound of Gumball softly calling his name "Marshall...Marshalllllllll... Marshall come on wake up..." Marshall slowly opened his eyes and rubbed them while sitting up, he was greeted by Gumball sat next to him at the end of the bed smiling at him "I have finished all my royal duties finally, and the morning is still young, why don't we go on that little date you said you'd take me on" Gumball smiled softly at Marshall as he leaned in and kissed him softly on the lips, Marshall kissed him back Instantly and replied "of course, let's grab a blanket and some food and then set out to find a nice little area to have our picnic date" Marshall smiled at Gumball, Gumball nodded his head and smiled, he stood up and made his way over to the wardrobe to grab a blanket to use for their date, he placed the blanket in a bag he had and placed it next to Marshall "I'll let you carry the blanket in that bag, let's go down to the kitchen and prepare some food to bring with us okay" Gumball smiled, Marshall stood up and picked the bag up with the blanket in it and held Gumball's hand, they proceeded to make their way down to the kitchen to prepare some food, after they had finally prepared enough food for the both of them Gumball grabbed a picnic basket out of one of the cupboards and neatly placed all of the food and some drinks inside it, he placed it over his shoulder and held Marshall's hand smiling, they proceeded to exit the castle and set out to find a nice area to have their little date

GUMBALL'S POV

Upon arriving at the place Marshall had picked to have their date Gumball's face lit up with pure joy, the area was beautiful, it was breathtaking, Gumball was amazed by the view, he had never been he before and wondered how Marshall had found such a beautiful place, Gumball asked Marshall to set up the blanket and he helped him do so, they then began setting the food out, it looked beautiful, Gumball was thrilled to be here with Marshall, it was their first proper date as boyfriends, Gumball sat down on the blanket and Marshall did aswell shortly after, they began having conversations, discussing their biggest dreams, their futures, specifically their futures together "I imagine in our future we live in the kingdom and we are happily married with children, and you're my amazing king" Gumball chuckled while expressing how he sees their future "that sounds like a beautiful future together Gumball, I too wish that's what our future holds and I will do everything in my power to make it happen" Marshall replied, he leaned in and kissed Gumball on the lips caressing his cheek while he did, Gumball blushed at Marshall's actions "that's very sweet of you Marshall, I look forward to our future together" Gumball kissed Marshall and smiled softly at him, Gumball snuggled into Marshall's arms while pulling some of the food closer to him, he began feeding strawberries to Marshall, Marshall would normally only drink the red out of them but this time he decided he would eat them how everyone else would, only because Gumball was feeding them to him, Marshall began to feed strawberries to Gumball too, Gumball ate them while blushing softly "how do they taste Marshall, you never eat the whole of things only the colour' Gumball asked while eating a strawberry "they are actually pretty good, the texture is nice and goes well with the flavour, I really like them Gumball" Marshall smiled softly and chuckled, the two spent the rest of their time cuddling on the blanket and discussing whatever came to mind, they had been there for hours, just cuddling and talking about whatever there was to talk about, the sun was beginning to set, eventually they both got up and began to pack away all the plates and container's they had brought the food in, they also packed up the bottles and drinks, Gumball folded the blanket up nicely and placed it in the bag and then gave the bag to Marshall to carry, Gumball picked up the picnic basket with all the plates, containers, bottles and drinks in and placed it on his shoulder, they held hands and made their way back to the candy Kingdom once they arrived back at the castle Marshall helped Gumball wash up all the plates, container's and bottles they brought with them, once they had washed and packed up everything they made their way upstairs where they sat on Gumball's bed for a while just admiring eachother "Marshall I can't express how happy you make me...I'm so happy that we are together... you're everything to me" Marshall blushed "I feel the same Gumball, without you I don't know what I would do with myself or my life, you've given me so much reason to my life, I'm so thankful for you, I love you so much Gumball" Marshall kissed Gumball moments after what he said, he pushed Gumball down to the bed softly and began to passionately make out with him, they began touching eachother, in many different places, the air between them felt hot, but they liked that, it felt amazing to them, it felt as if time around them had stopped, this moment was about them and them only, all they could think about was eachother and what was happening in the moment, things began to take a spicy turn for the both of them, the rest of the night was spent making love to one another, passionately and gracefully, the night was long and they never wanted this moment to end, after a long and joyful night of love making the two peacefully drifted off to sleep while holding eachother tightly both dreaming of one another until the sun rose.
