Chapter 4: Fionna and Cake find out

MARSHALL'S POV

It was early morning, Marshall awoke with Gumball snuggled up in his arms sleeping peacefully, he looked over at Gumball's alarm clock, it was only 7am, however Marshall wasn't tired somehow even though he had just woken up, he kissed Gumball's forehead making sure not to wake him, Marshall's eyes trailed to the window where he saw Fionna and Cake staring in disbelief, Marshall jolted up staring back at them, Marshall's sudden action startled Gumball causing him to wake up in a panic "whats going on!??" Gumball looked at Marshall concerned "Fionna and Cake are at the window, they saw us cuddling, they saw me kiss your forehead..." Gumball instantly looked over at the window and saw the two of them staring at them, Gumball was in shock, all they ever knew was Gumball and Marshall having silly little arguments with eachother and always being at eachothers throats, but seeing them like this was shocking, Gumball ran to the window violently pulling the curtains closed, he proceeds to turn to Marshall "some people have no idea what PRIVACY is nowadays, it's absolutely ridiculous, oh my glob" Gumball said in a rather frustrated tone, he shook his head in disappointment "yeah...I wonder just how long they have been there though..." Marshall replied in a concerned tone, Gumball made his way back over to the bed, he picked up his clothes and began getting dressed "I need to go have breakfast, are you joining me" Gumball looked at Marshall, he still seemed rather annoyed, Marshall smiled and replied "of course I'll Join you for breakfast Gumbutt" Marshall proceeded to get dressed aswell, the two of them made their way downstairs and into the kitchen, Gumball approached peppermint butler "morning peppermint, I'll need you to make two breakfasts for me if you wouldn't mind, Marshall is joining us for breakfast this morning" Gumball smiled softly "of course Prince, anything for you" peppermint butler bowed Infront of Gumball and began to start making their breakfasts, Gumball smiled "thank you peppermint, you're a wonderful butler" Gumball took Marshall's hand and took him to the dinning room, they both took a seat and waited for their breakfast to be served

FIONNA'S POV

Fionna was still in pure shock from what she had just seen "oh my glob cake, can you believe it, they where CUDDLING!??, Marshall and Gumball CUDDLING, that doesn't seem normal at all" it felt as if she was in a dream or something, it was almost impossible to believe what she has seen was truly real "you know, it doesn't surprise me seeing them like that, I could always see there was something between them or atleast bound to be, the way they look at eachother and act towards and around eachother makes it very obvious, they scream relationship, and it's great to see that they finally took it upon themselves to get into a relationship, why on earth did it take them so long though, that's what I'll never understand" Cake replied while she let out a sassy laugh, Fionna knew Cake was right, afterall Cake is always right, when has she ever been wrong, Fionna let out a little giggle "you on you're right, there was definitely something bound to happen between them, it took it's sweet time to happen though I'll tell you that much, although we should really be heading back to the tree house, it's bacon pancakes morning, my favourite" Cake agreed "well let's get going then" Cake said as she grew in size so that Fionna could get on her back, the two made their way back to the tree house so they too could go and enjoy and nice breakfast together

MARSHALL'S POV

After Marshall and Gumball had just finished a lovely breakfast together the pair decided to talk about what they plan on doing for the day, they spent quite a while picking out something to do that day, eventually they both came to an agreement about what they should do for the day, they agreed that they would take a nice trip to the beach, after all it was a beautiful and sunny day, although that did mean Marshall would have to shade himself from the sun so that his skin wouldn't burn, they both went back upstairs and stared packing for the beach, on their way back down Gumball informed the Banana guards of where they were going and just before leaving he informed peppermint butler too, the pair left the kingdom and made their way to the warm and sandy beach where they would begin their second date.
