Chapter 5: A special surprise

MARSHALL'S POV

Upon arriving at the beach they both took a moment to take in the amazing scenery, the water looked beautiful, the sand was soft and warm, there was a slight breeze, it was perfect, the perfect location and weather for a date, Gumball set down one large beach towel for the two of them to sit on, he even set up an umbrella and sun blocker just for Marshall because he atleast wanted the date to be a bit more suitable for
Marshall, the two of them sat down and stared out at the ocean "we should totally own a boat and travel the sea sometime, it would be adventurous and romantic don't you think" Marshall looked at Gumball and smiled "you know, that sounds amazing Marshall, I would really love to do that with you Marshall" Gumball smiled and looked at Marshall while leaning in and kissing him softly on the lips, Marshall blushed and kissed Gumball back while placing his hand on Gumball's Cheek gently, the two shared a deep and passionate kiss for a few moments until they eventually broke free from the kiss, Marshall looked down into his lap, he seemed nervous, Gumball placed his hand on his shoulder gently and said "is everything Okay Marshall, you seem nervous???" Marshall bit his bottom lip slightly and sighed "I have something I want to give you but I don't know if you will like it and I'm worried you'll hate it..." Marshall replied, "aww Marshall I'm sure I'll love whatever it is, especially if it's from you" Gumball smiled softly while placing his hand on one of Marshall's hands, Marshall blushed slightly at Gumball's actions, he let out a short sigh "well it's only something small but I thought maybe it would be romantic..." Marshall proceeded to pull out a small box, he opened it revealing two matching rings with their names carved on apart of the ring" they are matching promise rings, I thought maybe we could wear them...if you don't like them it's okay" Gumball's face lit up instantly "oh my glob Marshall, I love them they are beautiful" Gumball covered his mouth in happiness, Marshall smiled at Gumball's happiness, he was glad Gumball liked them, especially after all the trouble he went through to have them made, but he could never tell him that, "would you like me to put your one on for you" Marshall looked Gumball in the eyes, Gumball was quick to respond "absolutely!" Marshall gently grabbed Gumball's left hand and took out his ring, he placed it onto Gumball's ring finger, it looked beautiful, Gumball looked at the ring smiling "It's beautiful Marshall, now let me put your one on for you" Gumball gently grabbed Marshall's left hand and took out his ring, he gently slid it onto Marshall's ring finger, just as expected it was beautiful on him too, the two held hands tightly staring into one another's eyes "so how about we make a promise then, for the rings" Marshall said softly, Gumball replied "that's a great idea, I think we should promise to never leave one another and to be together forever no matter what" Gumball smiled brightly at Marshall, Marshall turned bright red "t-thats a wonderful promise Gumball, and that shall be our promise" Marshall pulled Gumball in and kissed him softly, they stayed like that for a few moments, suddenly Marshall was ontop of Gumball, both blushing, Marshall began smirking at Gumball, he turned bright red "h-here???" Gumball said quietly "I think it's a good idea, no-ones around, it's just me and you on this lovely beach, I think here is the perfect place" Marshall kissed Gumball, moments later the two of them where making love, passionate love, this went on for quite some time, eventually hours past and they were laying on the towel, Gumball was in Marshalls arms with his head on his chest, he was listening to his heartbeat, it was a soft heartbeat, he slowly drifted to sleep there in Marshalls arms, hours later he awoke being carried in Marshalls arm's "oh you're finally awake, it was getting dark so I packed up and began heading back, let me carry you the rest of the way home" Marshall smiled "heh okay Marshall, as you wish, my king" Gumball chuckled as he wrapped his arms around Marshall's neck, Marshall chuckled two, he continued to walk back to the candy Kingdom where he stayed the night at Gumball's just like he had been doing alot recently.
