EREN didn't believe soulmates. 

Despite living in a world where the ideology of soulmates were proven to be true, he still couldn't grasp the fact that they were actually a real thing. 

To him the whole soulmate mark was bullshit and if he could he wouldn't have taken a part of it. Who could possibly think that a mark would tell you who the 'love of you're life is'? Not him that was for sure. 

His parents, more specifically his mom cared to differ. 

The whole reason they decided to move back to his old hometown was so he could meet his 'soulmate'. 

While the reason his parents had give him was stupid, he was happy to be back. Moving away for almost seven years and not seeing you're old friends wasn't exactly the best thing for him. 

Sure he made or so had friends in his new city, but they weren't exactly the best people. 

Overall he was just happy to be back in the place he grew up and attend the high school he thought he would be going to since he was eight. 

" So Armin did you tell that Anna or whatever her name is girl you're feelings" the man bun teen asked his blonde best friend as they walked out the classroom. 

Armin blushed a bit and said " her name is Annie really not that hard to remember and two no I didn't" 

" Awh why not it's been" Eren started counting on his fingers making the blonde roll his eyes " I don't know but it's been a while just tell her!" 

" I'll tell her when the time's right" 

" Just saying being forty and not married isn't a good look" 

" Shut up"

Eren laughed and duo walked together to the cafeteria for lunch. It had only been a few hours but he was hungry, guess that what happens when you decide to sleep in and not have time for breakfast. 

" Anyways I think you'll like actually you might even remember one of them" Armin said as the two walked in the cafeteria. 

Eren stopped in his tracks earning a questioning look from Armin. 

" Wait does Mikasa go here"  he asked, his voice was filled slight bit of hope and almost fear. 

" Of course she does why wouldn't she" Armin replied in confusion. 

For background context, Eren and Mikasa were best friends who met through their parents at the age of five and later met Armin at seven. After he moved he promised to stay in touch with the both of them. 

Problem is he sucked at keeping promises. 

" You think she hates me cause you know" 

Armin shrugged " To be honest I don't know will just have to see" 

How reassuring Eren thought and walked with his friend to the table near the back. 

" Oh just a heads up the short blonde is taken by the brunette with her hair in the ponytail and the other blonde with her hair is Annie aka the girl like" Armin said.

Eren nodded not really caring as his mind was somewhere else, well more so on someone else. 

He felt his heart beat a little bit faster when he made eye contact with a ravenette whose hair was in two half pigtales and was wearing a choker. 

That really can't be- 

" Guys this is Eren, Eren meet Sasha, Connie, Jean, Marco, Ymir, Historia, Annie and Mikasa" Armin introduced pointing to each one of them. 

" OH so you're the dude Armin was showing around" the brunette girl Sasha said " nice to meet you" 

" Yeah same" he smiled.

" Anyways Eren sit down unless if you rather stand for a whole forty-five minutes" the short blonde said.

" Hm oh sure" he took a seat next to Armin and beside Mikasa. 

He turned to the girl beside him and noticed she looked taken back and surprised. 

" Hi" 

She slightly smiled and waved before looking back at her book. 

Eren mentally slapped himself for being so awkward. It wasn't that he wasn't happy to see her, in fact he was really excited to see her, he just didn't think it would end up like this. 

This is gonna be a long year.
