Before we start, yes this is totally gonna be bias to most of Ash's Pokemon in JNS because I love Dragonite so much. Truly a sweetheart

It was a shimmering afternoon in Cerise Park. All of the Pokémon were out and about, enjoying the outdoors. Dragonite was sat near a river, streaming gently across the park. It sat there peacefully.

Don't get it wrong, Dragonite loves hanging out around Pokémon and people, and giving them affection with its bone-crushing hugs.

Today was slightly different.

It was thinking. Thinking about it's trainer. Ash Ketchum. Not his battle tactics, or how considerate the Pallet Town native was.

No, it was thinking about his feelings towards his fellow research partner, Goh.

Dragonite was pretty good at recognising people and Pokémon's feelings, and seeing how actively affectionate he is towards the Vermillion City boy is astounding, and was able to pick that up within the first few days of being with Ash.

Even though Ash acted dense, he truly wasn't, perhaps he was acting dense to hide his feelings from Goh.

"That makes perfect sense!" Dragonite thought to itself.

Dragonite had a goal, it was gonna to try to make Ash (or Goh) to confess his feelings. It was a mission. A quest even! The thought made Dragonite estatic to help it's trainer come to terms with his feelings!

Dragonite then was pulled out of it's train of thought when it heard it's trainer calling it's name.

Dragonite picked itself off the grassy ground, and flew off like a speeding Regieleki. It then landed infront of the trainer, alongside with his friend. Dragonite decided to change it's greeting though, so instead of just hugging Ash, it hugged both of them at once, compressing them into Dragonite's bone-crushing but affectionate hug.

Dragonite noticed how Goh quickly blushed, but not because of Dragonite's unexpected hug, but rather how close he was to Ash as they were touching shoulders practically.

Dragonite decided to let go, leaving both boys to somehow trip and fall over backwards ontop of eachother.

Dragonite then looked down at the two, with an apologetic expression. Goh realized he was sitting on Ash's lap. They were both blushing profusely. Goh quickly got up, and so did Ash.

"S-Sorry!" Goh stuttered, quickly bowing his head.

Ash let out a small chuckle, with a small blush still invading his cheeks.

"It's alright Goh! It was an accident!" Ash smiled, which made Goh feel like his knees will wobble at any given moment.

There was an awkward silence, almost completely forgetting Dragonite was standing there. It then let out an inquisitive "Bor?", which got the attention of it's trainer and his research fellow.

"Oh! right!" Ash quickly said, which Goh and Dragonite averted their gaze to the Pallet Town native.  "We are going to Kalos! I heard they were hosting a Battle Festival to help people get their ranks up in the World Coronation Series, did you want to help me compete Dragonite?"

Dragonite was incredibly excited. It would be it's first battle with it's new trainer and it couldn't be any happier and reacted by quickly embracing Ash only this time.
