Love Sick 101

"Madddddiiiiiiieeeeee!" I hear a deep but childish voice yell from behind me, I turned around to find exactly who I was expecting to see, Tyler. Tyler was my absolute best friend. It had always been that way from the moment we could open our eyes. He had, as he says, the most amazingly, perfect, beach blown, brown hair. I would always agree with him because it was true. He had the perfect sun kissed skin and the most unique colour of green, blue and grey eyes.

"Tyyyllleeeeerrr!" I yelled back as I laughed and hugged him. He pulled away, looked at me and smiled. "What?" I laughed a bit. "I'm coming over to yours this afternoon because I have a surprise for you." I loved his surprises, they were always incredible. The last surprise was when he blind folded me and drove me to a hidden cliff, with beautiful crystal clear water and the most breathe taking scenery.

"Yay! Wait do I get a clue? Please, please, please, pleeeeeease!" I begged. "hmmmmmm," he said pretending to think, "nope, sorry" he said as he put his arm around my shoulder and walked me towards the school.

Maypole High School. The only high school in our small town. The school had about 500 kids and only 50 teachers. It wasn't that big, there was a cafeteria, a gym, an assembly hall, a court yard, a small oval and a couple of buildings for classes. It was nice though because it was so small, you knew everyone at school and everyone was mostly friends or at least nice to everyone. There was of course the popular group which was made up of the sluts and man whores of the school. Every school had to have one I guess, but at least the group I hung out with were the complete opposite of them.

As we entered the school, the halls were buzzing with whispers and the giggling of girls. There was more whispering and giggling this morning meaning something new must of happened. Being a small town things hardly ever happen but when they do, everyone knows about them. I looked up at Tyler, "What is everyone whispering about?" I was so confused as to what must be going on. "You haven't heard? Oh Maddie," he gave me his look of disappointment, "you are so out of the loop, they are all talking about the new guy, Charlie. Apparently he moved here because he got expelled from 3 other school were he used to live so his family moved here so he could have a fresh start." Whoa, 3 schools. That's a lot of schools to get expelled from. I wonder why he got expelled.

"Everyone is saying he got expelled from his first school because be set fire to his teachers car, he got expelled from his second school because he wagged to many days of school and he was expelled from his third school for 'possession of weed', think you should probably stay away from this one love" Tyler said and he sounded really sincere. "I should stay away from this one? You make it sound like I go after every guy." I said kind of offended. "I know you Maddie, you see the guys that are sad or are in some kind of trouble and you try to fix them, but I think you should let someone else try to fix this one." she said and looked at me kind of scared that something might happen to me. I didn't want him to worry about me but I did have a habit of trying to fix people and then ending up in some kind of trouble. "Okay ill, 'stay away from this one'". I smiled and Tyler smiled back.

As we walked down the hallway towards our lockers we just talked and laughed about the weirdest things, as usual. When we reached our lockers, which are beside each other, we look out our books for the first lesson and then someone hugged me from behind. "Kellyne?" I said excitedly and turned around with the biggest smile on my face. "Heeeeeeeeeey" she said and flew her arms up to give me the biggest hug. "Long time no see" I said sarcastically because we hung out almost everyday through the summer break. She just laughed. Standing next to Kellyne, holding her hand, was Harry.

Harry and Kellyne had been dating for about 3 years now and they were absolutely perfect for each other. They were the kind of couple that were always happy to be with each other, always kissed each other on the cheek and had the most adorable names for each other. Kellyne had been my best friend since the first day of grade 8. We met at lunch when I tripped over and dropped my books and Kellyne came over to help me and we had been best friends since. I met Harry about half way through grade 8 and we became close but there was always a spark between him and Kellyne. They didn't start dating until grade 9 but since then they have been perfect for each other, of course they have had a fights but they have always slayed together and worked through it.

"Hey Harry!" I hugged him and he let go of Kellyne's hand to hug me back. "Hiiiii Maddie!" He smiled and then took Kellyne's hand again. The Harry and Kellyne hugged Tyler and they said their hellos. As they were talking I was off in my own little world I noticed someone walking by, he was gorgeous. His sanding blonde hair was shaggy but not messy, wavy but not curly. His eyes never left the ground, he didn't want to look up so I guess he was the new guy. His arms were muscly and I could tell he worked out a lot. He was wearing sun glasses so I couldn't see his eyes, but boy did I want to. His jaw line was perfect and his lips, oh my god his lips were a light shade of pink and arghh I don't know how to explain how amazing they were. Wait Maddie stop, don't be one of those girls who obsesses over a guy after one look at him.

"Maddie! Maddie .... Maddie??" Tyler was shaking me. "What, huh, yeah?" I turned around quickly, bright eyed and sort of shocked. "You were, like, frozen" he said worriedly. "Yeah, I know, sorry, I'm fine, what did you want?" I was still kind of shocked. I noticed that Harry and Kellyne had gone and I was about to ask where they had gone but again, it was like Tyler had read my mind. "Harry and Kell went to class and I was going to say we should probably go now as well," I didn't really have anything to say because I was still thinking about the new guy even though I was telling myself not to, so I just nodded and we walked towards our English class.

The day was pretty normal. Harry and Kellyne sat with Tyler and I at lunch, we were all laughing and having a great time. I found out that the new guys name was Charlie and he was in my English, Math and Science classes. At the end of the day as I walked out of the school and the hot sun hit my tanned skin I sighed and looked down at the ground. "Hey bub, you okay?" I hear Kell ask as she walked towards me. "Yeah I'm good, just thinking" I looked at her and smiled. "Well, you think to much sweetie," she said and gave me a half smile, "Yeah I know." I fake smiled at the ground and sighed again. "Anyways I have to go meet up with Tyler, have fun with Harry tonight" I said cheekily and winked at her. "Oh, I will" she said and winked back.Harry sneaks into Kell's room some nights and he sleeps over. They don't do anything bad, they just cuddle and talk, I swear they are the best couple it's not fair.

I walked to where I supposed to meet Tyler (in the right corner of the parking lot). As I was walking I was thinking about that day, it was bright and shinny and everything was perfect, my dad and my little sister, Marry, were going on a 2 week trip to new york. My mum and my brother were sitting down and watching TV and then I heard that scream, sharp, loud and piercing. My brother ran into my room and ..... "ouch, crap," someone had bumped into me and I was knocked onto the ground and back into reality. I looked up to see ....
