Chapter 9

"How are we doing today?" Karen asked as I walked into her office.

"I'm doing great." I said, smiling.

"That's amazing. And you and Zachary are still doing good right?" She asked.

"Of course. Everyday is amazing with him." I said.

"How is your job going?" She asked.

"It's pretty well, it doesn't pay much but I like working there." I said.

"What made you want to work at a bar when you don't drink?" She asked.

"I just really needed to keep myself busy and I used to have to make drinks for Nick so I figured a bartender would be a good job for me." I said.

"Great. What have you accomplished this week?" She asked.

"Well, I got paid $100 this week, that's really about it. I haven't been able to talk to Zacky about you know.." I said.

"Yes. Why haven't you been able to?" She asked.

"I just feel he'd be uncomfortable with it." I said.

"Oh honey if you would just talk to him it would make things much better." She said.

"You're right. I'm just overthinking it." I said.

"And as I said, don't worry about it too much okay?" She said.

I nodded as I drove home. Don't think about it. I just wanted to keep things good between him and I. But how the hell was I going to tell him I wanted him?

I got home and noticed Matt's car here. Same with Johnny's, Jimmy's, and Brian's. What are they doing here?

I walked inside and they were at the pool. Val, Michelle, and some other girl was here.

"Hey baby." Zacky said, walking inside.

"Hi. What's everyone doing here?" I asked.

"Matt wanted to hangout and he ended up inviting everyone else. Don't be mad but Michelle invited my ex. Her name's Lola. I'm glad you came just now because she won't leave me alone." He said.

"Right. Well I'll go get my swimsuit on.. I'll be down in a few." I said.

He nodded as I walked upstairs. I grabbed a random bikini and looked out the window for a second. What the fuck? Lola was full on making out with Zacky. My Zacky. I ran downstairs. I didn't even speak a word. I walked right past them.

"Fuck Lola stop." Zacky said.

"Why not? I love you baby." She said, pulling him back in.

"Why aren't you doing anything about this?" Matt asked, pissed off.

"Just waiting until Zacky notices I'm out here." I said, sitting down.

"I'm gonna fucking kill him." He said.

"HEY ZACKY! YOU KNOW YOUR GIRLFRIEND IS OUT HERE RIGHT?!" Jimmy yelled.

Zacky pulled away and I just looked at him.

"Let's talk in private." Zacky said.

I nodded, walking inside with him.

"Wanna tell me what the fuck is going on?" I asked.

"Listen." He said.

"What? That you're fucking eating each others face? You know what? We're done." I said.

"Fine! I love Lola better anyway." He said.

That fucking prick, I thought as I walked upstairs. How could he do this to me? Why did he do this to me?

"Honey?" Val said, walking in the room as I changed back into my clothes.

"How the fuck could he do this to me! After all that I've been through he throws me like I'm a toy." I said.

"Sweetie. Lola laced his drink." She said.

"What?" I asked, sitting down.

"I saw her put something in his drink. It made him kinda like not notice anything but her." She said.

"Fuck. Will he remember anything that happened tomorrow?" I asked.

"No, so let's not pack our stuff okay? Just talk to him about it tomorrow and come have fun with us." She said.

"But, I broke up with him." I said, crying.

"It's okay, you guys can get back together tomorrow." She said, smiling.
