Kate's P.O.V

It was end of the school day. I am waiting for Kir because she said she had to go get something. Which was weird so I waited by our locker with Jake and Josh. Finally here came Kir. She had a rose in her hand.

Josh: where did you get that?

Kir: I'll tell you in the van.

Josh: someone admiring my girl. He said this jokingly.

Kir: Josh!

Josh: I'm joking love.

They always played around with each other since rumors were spreading quick that they are a thing.

Kir: I know doll

Their friendship is adorable. We finally headed to the van.

Jake: so I'll drop you two off and we will go get ready.

Josh: no we have to meet granny first remember

Me: yes! Y'all will love her!

Jake: that's right.

Kir: who is picking up Sam and Danny today?

Josh: Ronnie is today

We finally reached our house and there was granny's car in the driveway.

Me: she's here!

Jake pulled behind granny's car and turned the van off. We all piled out the van and rushed inside.

Kir: where is Granny?

Granny: I'm right here hun

We turned around and there she was in the kitchen with brownies in hand.

Granny: you know I had to make our special brownies. She winked.

Josh: brownies!

Kir: oh sorry granny we forgot to introduce our friends. That's Josh and Jake is behind Kate. He is normally shy at first.

Me: okay now let's Have a brownie.

Granny: are you sure? They have to drive home to get ready for tonight right?

Kir: yea Kate don't need to fuck them up now.

Josh: it's just a brownie right?

Kir and I laughed
Kir: no Josh they are pot brownies.

Josh: oh well in that case I want the whole pan

We all laughed.

Granny: Hey boy why aren't you talking? This is a safe zone. I'm the cool one.

Granny was obviously talking to Jake who is still standing behind me.

Jake: I'm so sorry.

Me: Jake she's messing with you but she is the coolest granny ever.

Josh: oh he's just nervous about tonight

Jake gave Josh an evil look.

Kir: alright boys we will see you in a few hours and I promise we won't eat all the brownies.

Josh: better not or you will be making more.

Josh and Jake headed out the door. Kir and I went upstairs to get ready. Of course our granny helped. Granny was helping me with my make up when she asked:

Granny: So this Jake who was behind you the whole time. Is there something between you two?
Me: well sorta we both like each other but we have known each other for only a week.
Granny: that doesn't mean anything. Most people only know someone for a month and already know that person is the one.
Kir: oh yea Jake and Kate are perfect for each other. I see how he looks at her while in class or when we are at their house.
Granny: I heard you two are spending a whole week at the family's cabin
Me: yes I'm excited
