"Just know that if you call my name, I'll be there."

Clyde's POV

I was massaging my head from all of the noise that Mom had caused. To be truthful, this migraine is so f*cking annoying. I pounded my head in my desk multiple times, until she came back in into my office.

"Fine, Clyde. I'll stop arguing with you."

"Okay, okay I accept your apology, Mom. I just need to know one important thing. Does Dad know about this?"

She gasped out of amazement, so sarcastically that it made me mortified by her attitude right now.

"Huh, of course he knows, Clyde. Don't worry. He actually wanted Ms. Taylor to be your choice. You probably know the reason anyway. Congratulations." She clapped her hands.

Wen my mom said that, I spit out my wine and coughed out my drink. Dad? I don't think so. He knows nothing. Yeah, he doesn't.

When I told Mom there was no reason why I chose Y/N, there was one reason in particular. But, I won't tell you. It's something you don't have to know.

"Son, just know that this is a forced marriage for 2 years and 6 months," Dad said, coming in my office, with a deep voice.

"Yes, we only want you to marry her off of contract. You don't have to put any affection towards it."

Did I just hear that correctly? 2 years and a half? Excuse me! I didn't hear that, right? Holy motherf*cking sh*t! I thought it would at least take 6 months. What made them think that I could withstand that duration of time of marriage? I thought that 6 months can be the limit, but, 2 years and a half? That's bullsh*t!

"Son, you don't look so good. Are you okay?"

I laid on the couch and I just felt so lightheaded. I never had this much of a migraine before. Ahhhh, this is so painfulllll.

[Bonus] Your Room

You're on your desk, looking at the book you requested from Mom. The Seven Mafias. The book of the seven mafia families in the world. And just as expected: The Lazano family is on the top. Not surprising at all.

"Y/N, what did you find there?" Mom asked, while coming in your room, with today's washed laundry.

"I'm reading the top seven mafia families. Ah, so you know who tops the list? Try to take a guess: it shouldn't be that hard. Look through it."

"Hmm, let me see... Is it the Casilere family?" She looked at you so confidently that for sure she was correct. But, you were going to ruin her over-confident mood. You didn't care.

"Gosh, Mom. Your mind is so blank. It's the Lazano family, Mom. Lazano family!! You are so clueless, aish!"

"What, I didn't know Y/N! How can you blame me in this? Of course I was clueless! How is that family so successful like us?"

"Are you being sarcastic right now? You know that actual reason, it says here they've been doing this for generations! It is literally the same format as our family! Can't you see the resemblance?"

"Okay, Okay calm down, Y/N! Indeed it is, I agree with you! It's probably the reason why Clyde asked you to be his wife, 1 week from now. Literally it's all you've been thinking about lately. Am I right?"

She went behind you and whispered in your ears, teasingly hitting you on the shoulder, looking so happy but also jealous. She had a nervous smile, almost as if she had to say something else to me. "Mom, I hadn't been thinking about that plan. Besides, I haven't even met him in person yet!"

"-Oh, you will meet him, alright. I will schedule your meeting with him 3 days after today at the Shiller Hotel. Okay? You better go, or else!"

"What! Dad, are you being serious? Why am I being surprised so much today?"

"Look, Y/N. I know it has already been planned. Just follow it. It won't be that bad. Unless if you have anything else you need to say, I'll get going." Mom said, who was looking at you with a nervous smile to see if you're okay.

"Oh no Mom, it's okay! I'm totally fine! First you say that you were happy for this, and now you feel anxious and regretting this plan. Which one is it?"

"I can't give you a proper answer, Y/N. It's both at the same time."

"Fine I'll accept it. Breathe in, breathe out. It's okay."

Of course you had to lie. Literally that was your only option. Whether the case, you had to accept what was going on during this event. It's like a real drama script. Literally.

3 days. That's all you had to say. And relax.
