"I was once a foe, and a know-it-all. But now I'll be your love for all eternity."

Clyde's POV

I'll only call you by your last name then?" She asked, looking very puzzled and so confused by my statement.

"Correct. Now that you know how to address me, let's eat."

I stared at her while she was enjoying the food. I adored her facial expressions, which she was so cute with. When she looked up, I looked down and ate. I tried to keep a low profile, and I have to say, I think I succeeded. Or did I.

"Mr. Lazano, can I ask you a question?"

"Sure, I don't see why not. Ask away."

"Why did you call my family and asked to marry me, huh? There were so many options for you to choose from, yet you had to choose me. Am I like a toy for you to just play with? Is it because I'm part of a rich family?"

That took me off guard. I didn't expect any of that from her. Damn, so badass.

"Ms. Taylor, it's not like that-"

"Don't get me wrong idea, Mr. Lazano. It's just that I respect my family so much, I love this family. I just want to hear your side of the story. What is the motive?"

"Fine, I'll satisfy your thoughts and tell you. Its's just me and my family having a contract with your family. That's all." Pause.

"Really? Is that really all?"

"Gosh, I thought you already knew when you discussed it with your parents. Were you always this obnoxious?"

"They didn't tell me! It's honestly, not, my fault..."

"Well, let's ignore that. Don't worry, I understand it was a miscommunication. But let's just relax. Try to breathe more."
