Mistaken (Dragon Ball Z X Elfen Lied)

City of Screams

I closed my eyes, expecting pain but it never came. I opened my eyes and saw Lucy, standing still, in front of me. Desi was standing behind her, holding her hands out, her eyes shut tightly.

“I don’t care what he’s done, Lucy! You won’t hurt him!” Desi’s eyes snapped open and Lucy went flying behind her, screaming.

Desi ran to me, helping me stand. “Goku, you need to leave! Now!” I stared at her, in awe. “Go, it’s going to get ugly! Go!”

I shook my head and before I could stop myself, I was holding her tight to me. “That man you hurt, what did he do to you?”

Her face flushed and she looked into my eyes. “He touched me somewhere he shouldn’t have. I couldn’t stop my vectors…” She had tear pricks in her eyes. “I didn’t mean to hurt him! He started screaming and Nyu lost it and turned into Lucy. Before I knew it, blood was everywhere, bodies were piling up and I was hiding behind a car…”

I heard a far-away voice scream, “You bitch!”

Desi pushed me. “Go! I’ll hold her off!” I looked behind her and nodded. I flew off, looking behind me as Lucy landed next to Desi, seething angry.

I flew to the Lookout, remembering what I had just seen. I landed, out of breath and fell to my knees, my body still reeling from Lucy’s invisible hit.

“Goku, what happened!?”

I looked up and saw all my friends, looking at me with worry. “Lucy… she attacked me.” I whispered. Kami and Krillin came over and helped me to the Lookout steps. “I was flying here and I heard screaming and went to check it out. But the city was littered with separate limbs and bodies and blood. I was terrified. Then Lucy came and attacked me with her Vectors, tried to have Desi kill me, and decided to do it herself. Desi protected me and I came here.”

Tien looked around. “We need to go confront her, before she hurts anyone else.” We all nodded and took off, back to the City of Screams.

We landed, and a car was indirectly thrown in our direction. There was yelling in the background. We followed it.

“Nana!” Desi screamed as she was thrown back, bleeding and crying. She suddenly flew into the air, launching herself at Lucy. Lucy was thrown back but landed gracefully.

“Bring it, bitch!” Desi blew a piece of fire red hair away and closed her eyes. Lucy went flying, more towards us and landed in a pile of limbs. She had gashed all over her body and was bleeding from her head.

I looked to Desi and her clothes were torn and bloodied but she looked relatively okay.

Lucy flew towards Desi but went crashing into a nearby car, hit by something other than Desi.

“Next time, Lucy, pick on someone your own size!” A short pink pixie-cut  girl shouted. Nana! Desi’s face lit up with joy and she ran and hug-tackled Nana.

I turned to the guys. “Be careful, they’re super fast and super strong and powerful.” They nodded and we all grew a bit closer.
