Life isn’t horrible
except when you’re me
Everyday a struggle
I can not get free
The reigns of genetics
tie me down
Sometimes when I feel lost
I reach to be found
Parents feed beliefs
that trap me beneath a cross
Trying to get out
I see the big boss
Cowering in a corner
taking down my front
Looking into a foreigner
I used to call my mother
Sprinting around my house
Screaming “Don’t hurt my big brother!”
Hiding in a room, I see the only option
Grabbing the bottle,
I hope for no interruptions
I hear the yells, and cries, and screams,
Here is the finale, the end of time
Dying without a self esteem
Wondering if there is a god,
Where is he now?
