The Lunar Guards

Cinders POV

Cinder looked around. There was about 10 lunar special ops standing around them in a circle. She tried to reached out into their minds trying to control them but she couldn't. Someone else was controlling them.

"Uhh Cinder?" kai asked. "What do we do?" He looked honestaly scared. She couldn't blame him, These creature had ripped apart his country.

"We wait." Cinder responded. She reached out into their minds again. They just stood there, staring. "Ok." Cinder whispered "Lets try walking towards that entryway. It's gotta lead somewhere." They shuffled over to the door but one of the ops on the end jumped in front of the door. Cinder took the oporuninty to take ahold of his mind. He looked confused for a minute and then he moved out of the way "Ok" Cinder said turning to Kai, she hadn't realized she had been holding her breath. "Lets run." She opened the door and ran. Kai was right behind her. She could hear the Lunar Ops coming behind them. She tried to grab ahold of their minds she mangaged to get ahold of a few and brought them to the front of the pack blocking her and Kai from the others.

"HALT!" A guard said. There was 5 guard instantly in front of them. "You are under arrest for entering Lunar-" He never finished though, because the wolves had them thrown against the wall with such force she thought they were dead. "Tell me," Cinder said nealing down beside the one with the second tier guard uniform. "Which way to the court." Kai snorted behind her. "I won't say." He grunted, leaning unto his elbow. "If you value your life, You will say." Kai came up behind her and pulled off a very regal position.

The guard coughed up blood. "Down the hall, left."

A orange light came up in the corner of Cinders vision. "You're lying." The guard looked up into her eyes. "The mechanic.." Then he fell over. Kai layed him down in a more comfortable postion then stood up. Cinder stood there in shock. She didn't want him to die!

"Kai what do we do?" She asked frantically.

"We continue." Kai said looking up at her grimly.

"I always loved men who take control." Iko's roboty voice said whistfully. Kai and Cinder just rolled their eyes and continued on down the hallway, the wolves following them.

"Well this is out best chance." Cinder said, opening a door marked as stairs. " let's do this."

Kai nodded but didn't say anything. They headed up the stairs to another level. From there, Cinder and Kai continued to the end, where two Lunar guards stood arms crossed.

"Halt! In the name of the crown !" One of them, the one with the fluffy black hair and hazel and brown eyes, shouted out. Cinder honestly wondered if you had to be good looking to be a guard.

"The question is, which crown?" Cinder smirked. The guards stared back at her quizzically. "Do you stand for the true queen of Luna, or against?"

"The true queen of Luna is Levana." Answered the other. He was older than the first, his hair glossy brown hair turning silver around the edges. "Selene died in a fire when she was a baby."

"But what if she didn't?" Kai asked them finding his words to Speak. "What if she's still Alive?"

"I saw the chard body earthen." The older guard said with an unmasked look of disgust for Kai. "There's no way she could have survived."

"Not without a bit of metal and a retina display screen probably not," Cinder replied, grinning. "Do you stand with or against the true queen of Luna?"

The younger guard turned to the man with silvering hair. "I don't believe her." A orange light went off in the corner of Cinders vision. Lies.

"What makes you think you're Selene?" The older man asked.

"Dr. Dimitri Erland. I do believe you'd know who I'm referring to." A flash of pain went through the guards eyes before he nodded.

"I believe you." The man said. He bowed down slightly and the other guard followed suit. "I am loyal to the crown, and only the crown."

"Good." Said Cinder as they stood back up. "Because I'm gonna need help getting to the courtroom."

"Looks like you already have plenty of help." The black hair guard said gesturing to the lunar wolves. Cinder rolled her eyes. "Just because I've got them following me doesn't mean I plan on making them fight my battles."

"When I heard rumours of a princess, I never expected her to be a sarcastic thoughtful cyborg-mechanic. My name is Cray," The older man said. "Your highness."

"Technically I'm not royalty yet." Cinder said as they followed the guards towards the courtroom.
They walked on in silence without passing another guard. Cinder wondered why there was no others around. Suddenly Cray stopped short. There was a painting of earth hanging on the wall. He pressed a small part of Africa- around the area where letmosis first began, Cinder realized with a shock and a sudden hatred for Levana. Suddenly the painting became transparent and you could only see the edges. The guards walked through. "This was made for Lunars," said the younger one. "Not earthens. He'll set off an alarm if he goes through."

"Felix." Cray said to the other guard in a stern tone. Felix looked sheepishly away.

Cinder looked at Kai in anguish. She wasn't leaving him here!

" try holding his hand" Cray told her. "It'll give him your energy. It might work. Maybe. "

Cinder looked back to Kai who grinned and took her hand. "Just in case this doesn't work, I want you to know I love you, okay?" Kai whispered as they walked through the transparent painting. It must've work because seconds later they were standing behind a fake wall with a door that led into what Cinder guessed was the courtroom.

"We'll stay here." Cray said. "And come if you need help."

"Actually, I think we have all the help we need." Cinder said with a mocking look to Felix. "Go and make sure princess Winter is safe."

The guard look on with some sort of pride. "You wouldn't remember her but you still want to make sure she's safe." He whispered, half to himself. "Of course, your highness." He motioned for Felix to follow them. " they're expecting Levana to arrive soon. And princess Winter should soon be arriving as well. We shall make sure she is safety away from any danger." They headed back to the fake painting. As he was about to go through after Felix, he turned around. "Your highness?" He began. "May the crown be with you. I have faith." And with that he disappeared through the painting.

"You told Cress and Thorne to find Jacin and Winter. Why send Them after her as well?" Kai asked.

"Because if this goes wrong, I want there to be people who know and remember that Princess Selene truly survived that attempted murder. Now." Cinder began. "you ready?"

"Ready as I'll ever be." Kai said. He had grabbed a knife out of one if the crates in the rampion for safety, but he wished he's grabbed more. Full suit of armer, couple swords,

"Ok." Cinder says taking a deep breath. "Oh and Kai?" She turned around to face him. "I love you too." And with that she let go of his hand and ran through the door.
