Uncharted Territory (Alex Bowman)

Puzzle Building

He finished his burger and looks over at my half eaten one. 

I feel him drop his shoulders in defeat.

 I wish I could eat more. But I quite literally cant stomach it. 

"You think you can handle a Target trip? I need a woman's advice on soap." 

I laugh a little at his need. 

"Sir please for the love of everything don't tell me you use the 19 in 1 body wash, shampoo, conditioner, car wax, frying oil soap."

His silence is proof enough. He looks down at me smiling. 

"I think I can wash my dishes with it to."

 I smack his chest. 

"Lets get to target before I find out anything else you need help on." 

He slides out of the booth grabbing my hand making sure I stayed close. 

He was as protective of my tear stained eyes as I was. 

When we got back to the car he opened my door like a gentleman. 

"Alex Bowman opens car doors for me. Oh my gosh! Can I get your signature?" He rolls his eyes while shaking his head. 

"Ill give you what ever you want sweet heart... As soon as you are in the car."

I slide into the passenger seat and watch him walk around. 

What ever I want. 

That one sentence gave me butterflies for this man. 

But, I shouldn't be falling so hard. I need to- 

"Stop."

 I look over at him with apologetic eyes. 

He nods knowing I'm trying. 

"Piece by piece." I look at him in awe. 

"You like the view or..." I shyly smile. 

"I'm just amazed by you." He looks over at me confused once he stops at the red light. 

"What do you mean?" He grabs my hand kissing the back of it. 

I shrug not really knowing how to voice the feelings I have. 

He kisses my hand again and hits the gas causing me to squeal at the sudden forward motion.

 "Careful race car sensation." He laughs smiling over at me. 

"I forgot the precious cargo I am carrying tonight." 

That's where it all ended. All the emotion, all the feelings, all the everything came to a boil as I looked at his side profile. I'm 100% sure after 27 hours of knowing him I love this man....
