We make it into the Target parking lot and he is dragging his feet.

"Bowman come on! The dollar spot is waiting on our arrival!"

He groans walking even slower.

"Alex..." I turn back grabbing his hand. "Come on. I know the racer can go faster than this."

His smirk lets me know his mind went south of what my intentions were.

I stop and place my hands on my hips.

"Alex Bowman, If you do not pick up the pace ill leave you in this parking lot and go find someone in there who will be joyful about Target."

He stops in front of me and mimics my hand on hip stance.

We stand off for a few seconds before I sigh in defeat.

"Alex... Please try to enjoy this?"

Something about him softens. He isn't joking around anymore. His face is serious.

He tilts his head to the side examining my face.

"Promise you wont take 9 years in here? I have to race tomorrow to support all future Target trips together."

I smile grabbing his face wanting so bad to kiss him. But I pull back grabbing his hand. "Lets gooooooo."

He laughs knowing this is what it will take.

Alex POV

She is trying to pull be faster but I enjoy the light in her eyes.

She's actually happy right now. I want this to last.

She stops dead in her tracks and looks at me.

A smirk is inching from her lips so I know she is joking.

"Alex Bowman, If you do not pick up the pace ill leave you in this parking lot and go find someone in there who will be joyful about Target."

I copy her smiling at how adorable she is putting up a fight.

Then I watch her manner change.  "Alex... Please try to enjoy this?"

That was what broke me. I didn't want her to feel like I was actually unhappy about this.

"Promise you wont take 9 years in here? I have to race tomorrow to support all future Target trips together."

Her eyes light up.

Not sure if she caught the future trips or is just really excited for the dollar spot.

We walk in and she leave my grasp to go for the small section of items.

I cant help but smile at her as she looks with wide eyes.

I grab a spot on the wall watching her. I could care less if she spends the rest of our lives here... seeing that smile on her face is worth it.

She looks over at me and I can see the look of concern.

"I don't have my wallet" She says it as a matter of fact.

"You know ill buy you what ever you want? Right?" She tilts her head struggling with it.

"No there's nothing here that I want anyways."

I walk up to her wrapping her up.

"Is this why you've spent 5 minutes staring at this bottom shelf?"

She sighs admitting defeat silently. "Alex I cant ask you-"

I place my lips against her ear.

"You never asked. I'm telling you. Ill give you anything you want."
