Forgiveness

They sat there and looked at me in guilt and sadness, mami made the first apology and said "I- I didn't realize what I was doing nor what was happening- I'm so sorry dear" she said while raining. I smiled and said "anyone else want to apologize? Cough- cough- isabela cough- cough" isabela rolled her eyes and said "sorry cousin Camiloooo" she grew a flower and sent it to me. One by one they apologized leaving tio bruno last, he said "I- what am I supposed to be sorry for again?" I laughed. He genuinely looked confused but he just walked out of the room back to his tower. We all went up to our rooms, as a apology Tia Julieta let me take arepas to my room. It was what felt like 2:00 am in the morning, the casita rolled a clock over and I said "even the village is quiet!" I said looking out my window. I walked out of my room to see casita moving a pole for me to walk down, I whispered and said "really? The stairs are right there." The casita waved a banner in my face and I shrugged, I climbed down it and went into the encanto. I walked around next to the donkeys as they would make some weird snorting sounds.

It was morning. I went downstairs hearing tia Julieta call for me, I went to her room and she gave me a bunch of herbs. Not knowing how to cook I said "uhhhh- am I the new chef?" She laughed and said "sometimes herbs are more then just stuff to cook with. I walked out and waved slowly picking at the herbs spiky parts, I went outside and put the herbs in the ground having no idea what to do. Antonio walked towards me and said "can you come with me over the bridge to find Luisa?" Before I could ask why he dragged me by the hand as I stumbled behind. A hummingbird buzzed in my ear while Antonio translated "it said hi! It also said that Antonio is sorry." He said and I smiled saying "it's all good!" We found Luisa and I waved goodbye. Isabela had given me a cactus. I had the urge to throw it at someone for amusement- Papi knew what I was going to do and he gestured no before returning to his conversation. I frowned being extremely bored, one of the kids called and said "what's your gift and your name!"

I said "why?" They looked at me blankly and said "we need to ask a Madrigal when there walking around town what it's like being apart of the family!" I smirked and said "well kid- your going into a longggg story" I said having planned to tell them the story of my life. Some things I said were "well Dolores is super annoying sometimes, my gift is probably like the best they have ever seen! Luisa is like really strong but sometimes she can take it overboard and stufff" I went on for about another hour or so talking about me, myself and I. I realized that today everyone was giving me all sorts of stuff, I though to myself "maybe it was some joke? Maybe it was for fun!" I realized that it was probably an apology for there horrible actions. I went upstairs to find Dolores looking outside the window hearing town gossip. I walked over and said "tell me everything." She smiled and said "so like Anne was cheating on her boyfriend with another guy which was totally girlboss but then her boyfriend found her and now I'm just listening to them fight.
