What? I, the madly passionate, frenzied lover of hair metal isn't discussing hair metal? Yes it's true. I'm basically going to put all my music opinions here so... here's a mess of thoughts from a chaotically oriented pretty boy lovin' mind. I just wrote down my initial thoughts of Roxy Music's For Your Pleasure. Don't want to keep you here too long for those of you who don't like rants lol - I could go on forever if you let me.
The first time I've ever heard Roxy Music. Their music is certainly an interesting one at first listen. I've never anything quite like For Your Pleasure. There was a lot to take in at first listen. The dark and haunting (in an unconventionally beautiful sort of way) atmosphere, almost gothic in the way it conveys itself, the use of the saxophone, and the singer's interesting voice all blend together to create the perfect gloomy atmosphere.
Track 5. The track that stopped me in my tracks. Here's In Every Dream Home A Heartache. A song so incredibly creepy. No one does beautiful and creepy quite like Roxy Music. Go take a listen!
Definitely made a lasting impression in my mind. Going back to relisten to the album now ;)
