The Missing Part (Diluc X Reader)

You woke up at the perfect time, the sun was out and the town was lively. Your main goal for the day is to explore the outdoors. Get a feel for Mondstadt, and so that's what you did. You wanted to stamp plants into a book for Xingqiu. You started off with the easy plants, you were leaving the hard ones for last. You collected a bunch of them, and you ended up somewhere near Wolvendom. The sun was still out, Mondstadt's atmosphere was extremely different from Liyue's. It was crazy, you didn't know which place was better. You collected lots of plants, the book was half full! You walked around, trying to find new plants. Suddenly, rain started falling. Oh no, you weren't prepared for the rain. You would get sick by the time you got back to Mondstadt. The rain was extremely heavy, you could barely hear your own thoughts because of how loud it was. You were desperately searching for some source of heat, who knows how long the rain would be falling. While searching for a building, you spotted a mansion. It looked expensive, as well as elegant. It was surrounded with huge pieces of fabric, you had no time to think about that. Your main objective was to get there. You were running towards the building, holding the book close to your chest. It would be devastating if it got soaked after all of your hard work. You were so close to the mansion. Even though you were out of breath, you didn't want to stop, you would stop after you took cover there. You saw a girl standing outside of the manor. She was wearing a maid's outfit. Whoever owned this joint was rich. You reached the front door of the mansion, the girl looked worried.

???: Are you okay? The rain is pretty heavy.

Y/N: I'm alright! The rain caught me off guard, that's all.

???: If you stay out here any longer you'll catch a cold! Please, come in.

Y/N: Thank you!

At least she was nice, if she told you to get off the property you wouldn't know where to go. She opened the door for you, you looked at the inside in amazement. It was huge, and it looked like a place fit for a king! There was a gold chandelier and it was shining beautifully. There were a few maids on the inside, you didn't want to take a step inside. Feeling bad that the maids would have more work.

???: Why don't you go sit near the fireplace? I'll bring you some towels.

Y/N: You really don't have to do all of this, but I appreciate it deeply.

Adelinde: It only feels right doing this, don't worry about it! I'm Adelinde by the way.

Y/N: I'm Y/N!

Adelinde: Good to know, I'll be back soon.

Y/N: Alright.

You sat down near the fireplace, it felt nice to be surrounded by warmth after being out in the rain for a while. You sit there for a while until Adelinde comes back, she brings warm, fresh towels.

Adelinde: Here you go Miss Y/N.

Hearing "Miss Y/N" reminded you of Liyue.

Y/N: No need for titles, just call me Y/N!

Adelinde: I insist on calling you "Miss", even though Master Diluc tells me to stop calling him "Master" I can't! It's a habit..

Wait, did she just say Master Diluc? Does he own this place?

Y/N: Wait, is this the Dawn Winery?

Adelinde: Mhm!

Diluc owns this place? That's absurd! This just shows how much money he has! Does that mean that he's here right now?

Adelinde: I hope all the crops don't go to waste.. It would be a tragedy. Hopefully the covers I put on the vines stay..

That's why there were pieces of fabric outside. It was covering the crops. You started drying your hair with the towels, it feels so nice. Like you just came out of the shower.
