A freckled girl with light brown hair and almost golden eyes, walked onto a small bus that would take her hours away from her home. She had been dreaming about this moment for months now and was ecstatic that she finally would be able to go on the backpacking trip of her life.

But to be real, she such an anxious mess that she took a seat in the farthest row in the bus. If there was a scale for anxiety, it would be broken.

All she wanted was a trip out in nature and some connections with the stars. She wanted this to be the best trip she had ever had in her life, but that was a lot of pressure. She knew somehow that things would get messed up one way or another. There was no way this could be perfect. But that was what she REALLY wanted. To get away from school and home and all the other stresses of her life. She just wanted this to be perfect.

Her hands were shanking, her mind wouldn't stop raving about the possibly of something going wrong, the bus started to get smaller and smaller and smaller...

People.

People started to load on the bus, and just to clarify yes she was 45 minutes early to this.

So many people. 1 2 3 4 .... 15

15 people?!? "Ok" she thought to herself "Stay calm, look friendly."

She took some deep breaths (that had no affect except make her even more light headed) and she tried a smile, but ultimately she failed at both tasks. In her disappointment (not really a better word would be relief) she put her headphones in that were connected to an old iPod, because of course, no phones were allowed on this trip.

She looked around, a girl with died blue hair and a nice shade of green eyes. A guy with blonde hair, a red shirt, jeans and a matching red beanie. He had style she wouldn't lie, but he would never like her. She was just too weird for guys, it wasn't that she never was asked out or anything, but she never quite found the right guy that made her heart sing or whatever. They say there are plenty of fish in the sea, but in her part of the sea there were no good fish.

Really in her disappointment she looked out the window and listened to a sad song that played.

As time passed and the people arranged themselves in their rows she could already tell that she was going to be a bit of a loner.

A sad song played.

"Uh, hey, um, would you mind if I sat here?" The girl with the nice eyes said.

"Hum? Oh! Uh, ok, s-sure," what a lovely response she made. Her heart started to race. New person? Conversation? She couldn't do conversation! She could barely function! Her hands started to tremble again.

The girl with the nice eyes spoke "I am Cyan, you are..?"

"I-I am," she started. She knew her name, but how did you make your mouth move in the right way to say it?! Common think! Think! Think! "H-hazard! Oh wait I am sorry I meant Hazel."

Oh just another thing to keep her up at night, how spectacular!
